Lead Electrical Engineer

To succeed in this role, it is essential to possess the following qualifications: •    Master's degree (M.Sc.) or higher in Power Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering. •    A minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive product development. •    Proficiency in electric product development and design, particularly in electric motor drives and inverters. •    Knowledge of power electronics, electric drive system and Inverter. •    Proven expertise in developing technical requirements in collaboration with suppliers. •    Familiarity with automotive standards, requirements management tools, and process tools. •    Strong collaboration skills, with a willingness to engage in task development with colleagues. •    Familiarity with simulation tools. •    Fluency in spoken and written English. Combining data sources (like production vehicles data, field test logs, map databases) you will enhance our Customer Knowledge, our test codes and provide inputs to create new duty cycles. Required Competencies •    Analytical and statistical skills: Recognizing patterns in data, information, or events, drawing logical conclusions, and making recommendations of the most suitable models and statistical approaches. •    Innovation: Reframing traditional patterns of thinking and applying new and evolving ideas, methods, designs and technologies. You are able to identify new opportunities and convince peers, managers and internal stakeholders to test out new approaches. •    Attention to detail: Monitoring adherence to standards and actively checking for accuracy of data received or generated. •    Knowledge in developing statistical models to describe and evaluate vehicle usage in automotive applications. •    Some experience from the automotive industry is preferred. Senior Assurance Analyst

Your starting point will be to, together with your colleagues at VFS and in the broad cross-functional network at the Volvo Group, take responsibilities in the following areas:  * Provide assurance to management regarding the effectiveness of financial reporting and accounting controls by applying digital tools in alignment with VFS Internal Control Framework and adherence to Volvo Group policies/standards. * Conduct remote and on-site targeted reviews in selected market around accounting and finance processes using digital tools to assess the accuracy of financial reporting in alignment with group reporting requirements, international and local accounting standards * Identify and assess control gaps/deficiencies within the organization using automated tools and promptly report findings to VFS Business Risk Assurance & Advisory and line/regional/global management. * Provide technical finance and accounting advise to senior leaders and markets in connection to readiness of new products, new systems, or new markets * Develop digital tools to continuously review and improve accounting and finance processes * Conduct follow-up reviews to verify that control gaps and process improvements identified by VFS Business Risk Assurance & Advisory, internal/external auditors, and other sources have been addressed and are operating effectively. * Perform thorough root cause analysis and provide detailed recommendations to management on the most effective remediation strategies. * Manage and maintain the deficiency database for the region, utilizing digital platforms to ensure visibility of control gaps to stakeholders and facilitate timely resolution. * Assist in various training initiatives led by Business Risk Assurance & Advisory and VFS line management, focusing on internal control, risk mitigation, and assurance activities, leveraging digital resources and platforms Your future team You will report directly to the Director Business Risk Assurance & Advisory.  In many of our markets, VFS has won the Great Place To Work award, where Great Work is done. Electrical Cost Engineer

. Cost engineers general Your main responsibility will be to calculate part prices and tooling investments, both in new truck projects and as a support to today’s truck business. You will perform cost target setting and cost breakdowns of new and existing parts based on drawings or physical parts.  You will start early in the concept selection phase, working intimately with engineering and design. You will follow the products thru the development phases and then actively support the targets you have set in the sourcing process. Another part of Cost Engineering work is to support the change management process, calculating impact in tooling and product cost. In this work it’s important to cooperate with many different parts of our organization such as purchasing, engineers, project leaders, module managers and of course your colleagues within the Product Finance department. What will you do? The Cost Engineering Department is now looking for a Cost Engineer for the Electrical area for the E&E group. The group is dedicated to fast-changing and exciting technology areas, covering all electronics and electrical Architecture in the truck, and supporting Volvo Bus and Penta as well. Estimating cost for wiring harness, starter motors, alternators, and similar components is done with both engineering and business mindset, i.e., by analyzing actual hardware/technical and commercial prerequisites to understand what requirements are driving cost. The role gives the possibility to deep dive into new and future technologies, which are in a dynamic phase where new functions are designed into future sustainable solutions. Your main responsibilities include the strive to make sure that Volvo always gets value for money when purchasing parts, by estimating the right cost level (Bill of Material and manufacturing process) and supporting with negotiation arguments for purchasing. Another important task is to support product development with cost estimates to support design decisions for future products and changes. You contribute to strategic business plans, teardowns, and cost workshops with your expertise in electronic components and manufacturing. The position includes traveling to suppliers’ manufacturing sites to take in-depth technical discussions with them about their production lines or lay-outs for cost drivers and investments. Your profile To be successful in this position, you have specialist knowledge in at least one of the fields: electro mechanics, electronics and / or wiring. Furthermore, we also see that you have got the following knowledge/experience: B.Sc in Electrical & Electronics engineering or equivalent experience, such as manufacturing engineering, sales engineering or product development. Engineer / Experienced technician / Manufacturing engineer / maintenance with a    background of lean experience in the automotive industry or in the supply chain     Since we are a global company, it is important that you are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
