DFDS Logistics Services AB is a haulage company within DFDS in Gothenburg and Karlshamn. The main part of the business is placed in Gothenburg where we focus on automotive logistics - inbound and outbound. In Gothenburg we utilize 140 trucks and 250 drivers. In recent years, the business in Gothenburg has grown through acquisitions and we are now at a stage where we must consolidate the business by standardizing and digitizing. We are now looking for a General Manager to our Business in Gothenburg who will contribute to the company’s ongoing journey. Be part of DFDS and be part of the movement! About the role The role involves the overall responsibility for all operations, including customer relations. You will also be a key player to strengthen our organization and of course be fully responsible for financial and operational targets. Key Responsibilities You will among others have the following key responsibilities: - Develop the business both commercially and in terms of internal processes. - Streamlining and optimizing operations. - Set up, implement and follow up on targets for the business. - Budget, prognosis, and follow-up work in consultation with the MD - Ensure that costs and revenues are being in line with the budgeted targets and notify deviations. - Support and coach employees About you As a person you handle multiple social situations and relationships with various people with self-confidence. You are also a person who has great focus and energy on achieving desired targets. You have the ability to communicate easily and efficiently, both internally and externally. You act from a holistic perspective with customers, financials, and organization in focus. Finally, you are a person who are able to act calm and focused in unexpected situations. We believe you have experience from a similar position or other solid experience within the logistics industry.
