Senior Environment Concept Artist

Job Description Are you an imaginative artist with a passion for crafting worlds? Ubisoft Stockholm is looking for a Senior Environment Concept Artist to join our team and play a key role in shaping the world of an unannounced project. Working to brief from the Art Director, you will use your understanding of form, color and design to create images that raise the bar. As a member of the concept art team, you will handle a wide assortment of jobs required by the project, including producing rough production art, assisting in the visualization of complex scenes, and crafting print-ready promotional materials. In this role you will: Work closely with the Art Director to establish the style and aesthetic that will define the game world. Communicate the project's vision effectively through sketches, illustrations, key art, and other assets. Create environment art and set pieces that elevate standards for quality. Provide lighting and compositional framing with cinematic sensibilities. Collaborate with our interdisciplinary teams to enhance playable spaces and visual fidelity. Embrace feedback as an opportunity for growth, refining your designs to meet evolving project needs. Adapt quickly to changes in the project and come up with creative solutions to new challenges. We would love if you: Creative mind and skilled illustrator with a deep understanding of composition, light and form. Fast iterator who knows how to leave a sketch in a rough-but-finished state, but also knows how to pour time into a refined piece without killing the spirit of the image. Problem-solver, adapting to any style and direction to meet artistic vision set by Lead/Art Director. Accomplished user of Photoshop and other relevant industry-standard tools for concept creation. Familiarity with 3D software like Maya and Blender is advantageous but not mandatory. Experienced Concept Artist in the gaming industry, demonstrating a strong portfolio of work.
