We are looking for an engaged and proactive Senior Customs Compliance Advisor who wants to play a key role in strengthening our compliance program and ensuring adherence to customs regulations, laws, regulations and internal policies. As a Senior Customs Compliance Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with applicable customs legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal processes. You will proactively identify and mitigate risks while supporting the business in meeting both regulatory and customer requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of the customs strategy at the Customs Delivery level, with a particular focus on Customs Compliance within the assigned area. You will be responsible for leading and contributing to both internal and external projects, working closely with stakeholders across the organization and with customers. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience and strong expertise within the customs field, combined with a thorough understanding of customs compliance, regulatory requirements, and business processes. The Nordic Customs Compliance department currently consists of 16 employees, with a focus on understanding and interpreting legal requirements and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines. We are an internal support function that assists the organization with customs-related matters and provides guidance on customs compliance issues. Key Responsibilities Provide advice and support to the business on compliance and ethical matters. Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring implementation in the organization, as well as assess their impact on the business. Conduct risk assessments and quality reviews. Support the Country Compliance Managers in the Area. Initiating and/or attending meetings with customers and authorities. Propose, participate, and lead customs related projects. Follow up on whistleblowing cases and support internal investigations when required. Contribute to reporting and presentations for management and relevant stakeholders. Qualifications Education and/or experience relevant to compliance, customs regulations, risk management or international trade. Experience within compliance, internal controls, auditing, risk management or related disciplines. Solid understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions. Excellent communication skills in one of the Scandinavian languages as well as English, written and spoken. Personal Attributes Responsible and reliable, with a proactive mindset.
