The team and the technical environment The IT Service Team, consisting of four members, is dedicated to leveraging technology to drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage. The IT landscape is a mixture of an office environment and a production-oriented environment with cleanrooms where IT equipment interacts with OT equipment. We are Microsoft-intensive, and the server environment is a hybrid with both on-prem and cloud services. The role As our IT Support Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for our users—helping them solve problems, answering questions, and making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll play a key role in keeping our IT support reliable, efficient, and user-friendly. You'll also have the chance to suggest improvements and work with the team to turn great ideas into real changes. This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday to Friday, with regular working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In this role, you will: Provide 1st line support to users mainly via on-site visits, ticket system and remote access. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, printers, networks, operating systems, and applications. Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in Active Directory and other systems. Document support cases in the ticketing system and contribute to the knowledge base. Is experienced working with Microsoft AD/Entra, Intune and Exchange for administration of accounts, applications, security settings etc. Has general knowledge of IT hardware such as PCs, monitors, printers, mobile phones. Has general knowledge of Server operation, network, firewall, VPN. Has experience using a scripting language (preferably PowerShell) to automate processes in a Windows-based environment. Is self-motivated and takes initiative — solving problems independently when appropriate and collaborating effectively when needed. Can prioritize effectively when faced with multiple, competing demands. Communicates with clarity and warmth, listens actively, and follows through when supporting end-users. The role As a Junior Product Manager, your primary responsibility is to support in the development of customized products from the ground up in collaboration with our customers and with Silex’s Process Engineers. You will support in guiding our customers through the product set up phase and early production, ensuring that their vision is realized while setting up the necessary processes for production. This journey can span from a few months to several years going through a concept phase and then a prototype phase. The products will later be used in industries like Telecom, Life Science & Medical, Industrial & Automotive and Consumer Devices. When processing of the prototypes starts, you will typically spend a major part of your day in our cleanroom, supporting the process team with inspection and analysis of the wafers focusing on the product integration. We are currently looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our Plasma Area. Your task will be to ensure the up-time of our machines and improve the overall maintenance work in the area. About the team The Plasma Area is a vital part of our production, where various materials (thin films) are added or removed from silicon wafers. Machines used in this area include PVD, PECVD, ALD, Plasma Etch Systems and evaporators. All systems utilize high vacuum and most of them use high energy plasma to achieve the desired process reactions. There are a total of ten Service Technicians in the plasma area, with a total of four Technicians covering the day shift. About the role As a Service Technician at Silex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our high-tech equipment is operational in production through maintenance, operations, and service tasks, all conducted in clean-room environments. Your responsibilities will span various fields, including electronics, pneumatics, mechanical engineering, chemistry, gases. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues, including area managers, process engineers, and operators. Each day begins with a handover from the previous shift, after which tasks are planned and divided among the Service Technicians. There will be a mix of planned and unplanned service activities and we are continuously working to improve the up-time of our machinery to reduce unplanned tool stops. We want you to identify improvement needs and then drive improvement projects in the Plasma Area, related to maintenance. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with some flexibility. In this role, you will Identify the need for improvement for the area regarding service and maintenance and run improvement projects, coordinated with the rest of the team. Create work instructions, clear routines and documentation. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery. Be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled service activities. Coordinate service activities within the area alongside the area manager and other service technicians. Support new installations as well as modifications and upgrades of existing machines. Ensure that equipment and machinery follow Silex’s policies for providing a safe work environment. Silex Microsystems is the world’s leading pure-play MEMS foundry, customizing solutions for prominent global clients in industries such as pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, and automotive. We are currently looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our Plasma Area, to ensure the up-time of our machines and improve the overall maintenance work in the area. About the team The Plasma Area is a vital part of our production, where various materials (thin films) are added or removed from silicon wafers. Machines used in this area include PVD, PECVD, ALD, Plasma Etch Systems and evaporators. All systems utilize high vacuum and most of them use high energy plasma to achieve the desired process reactions. There are a total of ten Service Technicians in the plasma area, with a total of four Technicians covering the day shift. About the role As a Service Technician at Silex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our high-tech equipment is operational in production through maintenance, operations, and service tasks, all conducted in clean-room environments. Your responsibilities will span various fields, including electronics, pneumatics, mechanical engineering, chemistry, gases. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues, including area managers, process engineers, and operators. Each day begins with a handover from the previous shift, after which tasks are planned and divided among the Service Technicians. There will be a mix of planned and unplanned service activities and we are continuously working to improve the up-time of our machinery to reduce unplanned tool stops. We want you to identify improvement needs and then drive improvement projects in the Plasma Area, related to maintenance. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with some flexibility. In this role, you will Identify the need for improvement for the area regarding service and maintenance and run improvement projects, coordinated with the rest of the team. Create work instructions, clear routines and documentation. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery. Be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled service activities. Coordinate service activities within the area alongside the area manager and other service technicians. Support new installations as well as modifications and upgrades of existing machines. Ensure that equipment and machinery follow Silex’s policies for providing a safe work environment. We are looking for someone who Has a technical education, preferably on University level. Has work experience in electrical, technical, or mechanical fields including troubleshooting of industrial machines for at least five years. Is proficient in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is a plus. Is meticulous, structured, and detail-oriented. Has the drive and willingness to learn more and grow with Silex. As a Process Engineer, you will initiate and drive progress in the Plasma Deposition area. Sounds interesting? Keep reading. The Area The Plasma deposition area is one of several vital departments of our production line here at Silex. Several different deposition techniques (PVD, PECVD, ALD and evaporation) are utilized to deposit thin films, ranging from various metals to dielectrics. The area consists of a team of both engineers and service technicians where collaboration is critical to ensure good process stability, tool uptime and continuous improvement. The role Your overall responsibility is to ensure manufacturing goals are met, together with operators and service technicians. Your days will be a mix of meetings with Product Managers and developing new processes that meet customers' specifications. You will also participate in creating work routines for operators and solve problems that occur at the area, driving improvement projects to enhance our workflow and processes at the Plasma Deposition area. In this role, you will: Develop, maintain and improve depostion processes. Establish, and maintain routines and documentation. Handle stopped production batches and development material together with process integration engineers (PIs). Be a part of creating/improving the infrastructure for operator training and make sure current routine is available and up to date. Participate in process qualification of new equipment/materials and release to them production. Participate in the startup of new products, review specifications and process flows. Grow into taking responsibility for area equipment, improving the tool uptime, maintain and develop new standardized process modules. We are looking for someone who has A Master’s degree in Engineering, specializing in Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field. An understanding of plasma physics and semiconductor processing principles is considered a merit. Hands-on experience with deposition equipment, e.g. PVD, PECVD, ALD and evaporation is considered a merit. The ability to see opportunities for improvement and manage projects to follow through with those improvements. Previous experience in an engineering role, preferably in production/development environments. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong skills in documentation and quality management Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Swedish is considered a merit.
