About the team The Backend area is a vital part of our production, where in the area we perform all outgoing quality control of our products, conducting electrical measurements and optical inspections. We also work with blade and stealth dicing, wafer thinning, and CMP (chemical mechanical planarization). There is a team of 19 people working in the Backend area, out of which four are working with service (three Service Technicians and one Maintenance Engineer). About the role As a Service Technician at Silex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our high-tech equipment is operational in production through maintenance, operations, and service tasks, all conducted in cleanroom environments. The equipment you will work with involves electronics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, chemistry, and gases. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues, including area managers, process engineers, and operators. Each day begins with a handover from the previous shift, after which tasks are planned and divided among the Service Technicians. There will be a mix of planned and unplanned service activities, and we are continuously working to improve the uptime of our machinery to reduce unplanned tool stops. We want you to participate in, and help drive, continuous improvements in the area. The working hours for this position will be night shift, Monday night–Friday morning 22:30–07:00. For the first couple of months you will receive training on another shift (day, evening) and then transfer to the night shift. You will be the only Service Technician from Backend on the shift, but there will be Service Technicians present working in other areas of the fab as well as operators running our machines. In this role, you will Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery. Be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled service activities. Coordinate service activities within the area alongside the area manager and other service technicians. Support new installations as well as modifications and upgrades of existing machines. Ensure that equipment and machinery follow Silex’s policies for providing a safe work environment. We are looking for someone who Has 3+ years' work experience in equipment service and maintenance within an industrial environment. Can troubleshoot effectively, using both electrical and mechanical understanding of the equipment. Is able to read electrical drawings and use them to aid in troubleshooting. Has good reading skills in Swedish; speaking Swedish is an advantage. Is proficient in English, both written and spoken. Is able to work independently and lead oneself. The Area Plasma etching is a key technology used to remove thin films of metals, semiconductors, and dielectrics across a wide range of applications. Each product has unique requirements, demanding carefully tailored processes. To meet these needs, the Plasma Etch area operates more than twenty process chambers, specialized for different applications and sourced from multiple equipment suppliers. The team consists of four Process Engineers and twelve Service Technicians, working closely together to ensure high process stability, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement. The role As Silex continues to expand, you will play a key role by contributing deep expertise in plasma etching. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that manufacturing targets are met, in close collaboration with operators and service technicians. A central part of the role is developing new processes and enabling the etching of novel materials. You will take ownership of process development—from initial concept and feasibility, through optimization, to implementation of robust, production-ready recipes suitable for high-volume manufacturing. In this role, you will: Identify opportunities for general process improvements and long-term development within the area. Develop, maintain, and optimize plasma etching processes for new products including reviewing specifications and process flows. Develop and maintain operator work instructions and trainings, and ensure adherence to established routines. Handle non-conforming production batches and development material together with Process Integration Engineers. Participate in qualification of new equipment and materials, and release them to production. Troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective CAPA actions. Rollen är väldigt bred, där du kommer att arbeta med hela kedjan från komplexa felsökningar till att avhjälpa problem i hela fastigheten, både kontor och renrum. Dina arbetsuppgifter inkluderar bland annat: Övervakning och underhåll av renrumsmiljön och dess stödsystem, såsom ventilation, kylanläggningar, reningsverk och tryckluftsanläggningar. Förebyggande och avhjälpande underhåll av stödutrustning till produktionen. Produktion av ultrarent vatten samt hantering av processgaser som exempelvis kväve, syrgas och vätgas. Drift och underhåll av Silex reningsverket för processavloppsvatten Fastighetsdrift baserat på felanmälningar och planerat underhåll Samarbete med andra avdelningar för att säkerställa en effektiv produktion och en trivsam arbetsmiljö. Vi söker dig som har: Arbetslivserfarenhet av arbete inom drift och underhåll, gärna med bakgrund inom el, ventilation, kyla, vattenrening, gashantering och/eller tryckluft. Det är meriterande om du har erfarenhet från processindustri eller renrumsmiljöer. Kunskap och erfarenhet av att läsa elschema och teknisk dokumentation Bred teknisk kunskap och förmåga att förstå hur olika åtgärder påverkar tekniska händelsekedjor. En god datorvana och gärna erfarenhet av dokumentation och avrapportering digitalt En lösningsorienterad och prestigelös inställning med förmåga att arbeta självständigt och ta initiativ.
