We are now looking to expand our R&D team in Uppsala, Sweden. We’re on an exciting journey to grow the company. About the Role We are seeking Lead Science to drive strategic collaborations, external partnerships, and scientific communication at Navinci. You will oversee a small team, manage our publication and advisory programs, guide IP strategy, and lead exploratory R&D projects beyond our product roadmap. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends scientific leadership with real-world impact in a dynamic, agile environment. Key Responsibilities · Lead a small science team; apply agile methods and sprint planning aligned to Navinci’s timelines. · Initiate and manage partnerships with academia, KOLs, and industry to expand Navinci’s spatial biology applications. · Prepare funding proposals and oversee ethical applications and material-transfer agreements. · Drive peer-reviewed publications, present at conferences, and contribute to field leadership. · Coordinate invention disclosures, patent filings, and IP strategy in collaboration with external counsel. · Run short-cycle, high-impact science projects beyond core products—assessing feasibility and potential for productization. · Provide expert guidance to internal teams and external users; lead workshops and develop documentation. Qualifications Required: PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field 7+ years in life science R&D, with strong exposure to proteomics or molecular assay development Track record of publications and successful scientific partnerships Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills · Proven ability to lead and mentor small technical teams in an agile, fast-paced environment. About the Role We are hiring an image analysis lead to build and maintain advanced imaging pipelines for spatial-biology assays. You’ll lead a small team, collaborate closely with R&D scientists, and deliver robust image analysis for both internal R&D and external service projects. This is a hands-on leadership role combining coding, scientific interpretation, and operational execution. Key Responsibilities · Design and deploy automated workflows for registration, segmentation, and quantification of multiplex tissue images. · Combine open-source and commercial tools (e.g., QuPath, CellProfiler, Python scripts) to meet project requirements. · Lead a small science team; apply agile methods and sprint planning aligned to Navinci’s timelines. · Work closely with assay developers to translate biological questions into quantitative image metrics. · Lead analysis for internal and external projects, delivering high-quality reports and visualizations. · Maintain reproducible codebases, apply validation frameworks, and pilot emerging tools or ML methods. · Play a key role in scaling Navinci’s image analysis infrastructure to support a growing portfolio of spatial-proteomics assays and data-intensive projects. · Ensure delivery of reproducible, high-quality image analysis within project timelines and aligned to predefined accuracy and robustness criteria. Qualifications Required: · MSc or PhD in Bioimage Informatics, Computational Biology, or related field · 7+ years’ experience in image analysis for tissue-based assays (biotech or life sciences) · Proficient in Python (NumPy, SciPy, scikit-image), MATLAB, or similar · Strong grasp of registration, segmentation, and spatial quantification techniques · Familiarity with tissue imaging challenges · Proven ability to lead and mentor small technical teams in an agile, fast-paced environment. · Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Preferred: · Experience with containerized workflows and version control · Background in spatial omics or multiplexed imaging platforms What We Offer · Lead image analysis in a cutting-edge spatial proteomics company · Work cross-functionally on impactful research and real-world applications · Agile environment with rapid iteration and team empowerment · Opportunity to grow your team and shape analysis infrastructure

You will lead a small R&D team, drive planning and execution across the development lifecycle, and ensure smooth handover to manufacturing and product support. This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of science, process, and product. Key Responsibilities · Define and maintain product development plans; manage stage-gate decisions and project priorities. · Lead a small science team; apply agile methods and sprint planning aligned to Navinci’s timelines. · Oversee design, optimization, and validation of conjugates, detection systems, and tissue-based assays. · Translate lab protocols to small-batch manufacturing; document and qualify processes with Quality and Operations. · Collaborate with Applications, Operations, and Commercial to ensure technical readiness, reagent availability, and customer support. · Troubleshoot customer issues, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvements in performance and usability. Qualifications Required: · PhD or MSc in Molecular Biology, or related field · 7+ years of experience in product development (molecular probes, reagents, or RUO kits) · Hands-on knowledge of assay validation, and small-batch manufacturing · Experience with SOPs, technical specifications, design transfer, and QC processes · Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills · Proven ability to lead and mentor small technical teams in an agile, fast-paced environment.
