Key responsibilities: • Develop and support data pipelines on IKANO Bank’s AWS-based Data Platform • Transform designs and requirements into efficient, high-performing, easily maintainable, and reusable code • Apply critical thinking skills, identify trends and root causes of relatively complex problems • Automate as much as possible, from CI/CD pipelines to testing and data quality • Participate in the Solution Design process and pro-actively recommend solutions • As we strive to work according to DevOps practices, you will share the responsibility with the rest of the team to make sure that our solutions are developed, tested, deployed, and run well Key Qualifications • Knowledge base acquired from a few years of experience in data technologies used for data transformation in relational databases and big data environments ( such as on e.g. S3, Python, IAM, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Spark, Redshift, Airflow etc) • Understand the demand of particular requirements or problems and applies data engineering skills/techniques thereafter • Has experience building Datalake, Datawarehouse or Datamarts in AWS • Experience working with complex data sets, building and maintaining data platforms with focus on data integrity, high data quality • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) Meritorious: • Experience in data modelling, particularly for Data Warehouses • Knowledge of Infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines • Experience working in DevOps team • Experience in the technology of our current data platform technologies (Oracle RDBMS and Informatica) • Experience and knowledge of agile frameworks, preferably SAFe • Financial/Banking experience We want our customers, partners, and co-workers to choose us for what we stand for, what we deliver and how we deliver it. As our Data Engineer Risk Analytics, you will work with risk data but in close co-operation with Data Management and all our different markets to understand and prepare data for predictive analytics. Let's make a difference for the many people! Ikano Bank AB is strengthening its Risk Analytics team with a Data Engineer. You will join a team of highly motivated and experienced colleagues responsible for all sorts of predictive modelling. You will have a key role in aiding the Risk and Credit Risk functions in their journey to become more data-driven, enabling them to generate the insights needed to provide financial services to the many people on fair terms. In your assignments as Data Engineer, you will be working closely with several departments across the bank, with a specific focus on Finance, Risk, credit portfolio analysis and regulatory reporting. Key Responsibilities: • Set up risk data deliveries from multiple on-prem systems and markets into a centralized cloud data platform to support predictive modelling • Design, build, and integrate risk data through data pipelines on the bank’s new AWS-based Enterprise Data Platform • Establish robust and automated controls of incoming data to ensure data integrity and data quality • Collaborate closely with the Central Data Delivery function to ensure alignment of architecture principles and technologies as well as adherence to Ikano development processes and standards • Create and maintain data mart models in AWS RedShift specific to the Risk and Credit Risk functions • Provide data support for developers and analysts within the Risk and Credit Risk functions, as well as other stakeholders To be successful from start it is an advantage to have experience in AWS technologies and ETL processes. Experience and skills: • Graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar related field/degree. • Knowledge of Python/Pyspark and SQL (to further strengthen the competence in the bank for a future proof setup) • Knowledge of AWS technologies and ETL processes (to improve and optimize this platform) • Understanding of data modelling for data warehouses and predictive modelling (to secure data warehouse is created to support predictive modelling) • Understanding of data quality and integrity concepts (to develop a trustful, user-friendly data warehouse) • Knowledge of data architecture and data management best practices. • Experience from banking or insurance. • A background in DataOps or AIOps.
