Do you have experience in rotating equipment? We are looking for an experienced Mechanical engineer that wants to be part of our Maintenance Reliability Group at Nynas´ refinery in Nynäshamn. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will work with our equipment’s and investigate problems at the refinery. About the Job As a Mechanical Engineer at Nynas, you will be part of the Maintenance department. This department is divided into seven groups: Maintenance Reliability, Maintenance Coordination, Inspection, Warehouse, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation. As a Mechanical maintenance Engineer, you will be reporting to the Maintenance Reliability Manager. Maintenance Reliability Group is responsible to achieve operational excellence for maintenance reliability in the short and long term, with a focus on continuous improvement and to enhance the reliability of the plant. Responsible for Create Asset Tactics, evaluate present preventive maintenance asset tactics, Top bad actor management, support maintenance technicians and major maintenance revisions. The job is a permanent position as a technical expert, where the focus is to improve the performance of the assets and ensure the availability and reliability. You will closely cooperate and support the Mechanical Workshop and other organizational departments. Key responsibilities: Drive continuous improvement in maintenance reliability for refinery equipment. Identify and investigate equipment performance and contribute to equipment reliability. Be responsible for Criticality classification, Root cause analysis & long-term asset plan for mechanical equipment. Develop and apply best practices for installation and maintenance of Mechanical equipment’s, with a focus on rotating equipment. Maintain documentation and asset management systems. Be responsible for the Preventive Maintenance for Mechanical equipment Coordinate with Engineering department for Project deliveries. Ensure preventive maintenance strategies are effective and up to date Lead and support maintenance optimization and reliability improvement project About you We are looking for a driven, proactive, and structured individual who thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments. You are result-oriented, analytical, and capable of working under time constraints when necessary. Requirements needed for the position: Several years of experience in a similar role within the petrochemical or comparable process industry. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance, particularly rotating equipment. Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent academic background. Strong IT skills and experience working with maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as JDE, API, or equivalent. Fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken. Knowledge of Vibration Monitoring, Thermography, and Ultrasound Inspection is a strong advantage. Experience with compressors is considered a significant merit. Are you an experienced Project Manager with a drive for leading complex projects in a dynamic, technical environment? Join the Engineering Department at Nynas and play a key role in making an impact on sustainability and future developments About the role As a Project Manager you will be part of the Engineering Department in Manufacturing. This department is responsible for the specification and delivery of capital projects for Nynas, encompassing stand-alone projects, a portfolio of smaller plant additions and modifications, environmental projects, investigations, and early phase study work. The team also provides engineering support to the refineries and businesses throughout the Nynas group. As a Project Manager you will be assigned to one or more projects in the Nynas capital projects portfolio, reporting to the Head of Project Engineering. Projects may include activities in multiple geographical locations, but mostly will be based at the home office in Nynäshamn (50km south of Stockholm). The Project Manager is fully responsible for directing their project resources across the matrix engineering organization as well as dedicated external consultants and contractor teams to ensure the projects fulfil their commitments to the business in terms of HSEQ, functionality, cost and schedule. As a day to day manager for your assigned projects, you will be responsible for risk management and mitigation, project reporting and communication with the wider Nynas organisation. The Project Manager is expected to contribute to the development and structured implementation of the Nynas project associated tools. You’ll also use your experience to assist in the development of more junior members of the team. About you Our project managers have demonstrated relevant experience in project management, project engineering or similar project roles. You are a person that communicates across disciplines, effectively directing work in a matrix organization and are skilled at managing a diverse group of stakeholders within and external to your projects. We also see that you have: A minimum of 5 years of experience of project management, project engineering or similar project roles. A demonstrable track record of on time, to budget and above all safe project delivery. An ability to manage change and uncertainty, anticipating problems through good risk management. Experience of managing project execution within tight schedules A background in hydrocarbon, chemical or process industries is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.
