Senior Process Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our Engineering Department, based at our refinery in Nynäshamn. In this position we offer you a technical challenging and stimulating work. You will be a part of the team developing the investment portfolio forward to achieve our goals for safety, profitability, and sustainability. About the team The Engineering team is a part of our manufacturing organization. The team consists of six process engineers with diverse levels of expertise. By being part of the engineering team means working with capital projects across all Nynas facilities, covering every phase from Pre-studies, Basic Engineering, Detailed Engineering to Execution. The team also support the production organisation with trouble shooting, support the Nynas management organisation during due diligence and different development initiatives. About the role As a Senior Process Engineer, you primarily engage in project-based work and work with the overall perspective on process design and will be able to follow your work and see it develop. You act as a mentor to fellow process engineers, sharing your expertise on process design with confidence. This position entails cross-functional collaboration with various departments. Moreover, in this role you have big impacts on the result and the responsibility to identifying areas for improvement to bolster our sustainability and efficiency. Additionally, you have a high safety conscious in your work ethic. To succeed in this role its important you are a good communicator, even in high pressure situations and can engage and foster teamwork and trust. Portfolio Manager

The Engineering team is a part of the manufacturing organization. The engineering team works mainly with capital projects where Pre-studies, Basic engineering, and detailed engineering and constructions are performed. The Engineering team supports the refineries with tools, standardand process support when needed. About the job As the Portfolio Manager you manage a portfolio of projectsand act as project manager for projects in a particular portfolio. The portfolios could be in different areas, i.e. sustainability, where strong efforts are made in energy usage and carbon dioxide emissions. You will be a member of the Engineering management team and you will report directly to the Engineering manager. You will work closely with the Head of Project Engineering, Head of Process Engineering, HSE Discipline lead and Engineering manager as well as key stakeholders for different portfolios.The Portfolio manager will also work with the profitability group of projects leading the refinery’s development further in efficiency. The areas of responsibility include project management leading the portfolios to ensure the plans and execution of the portfolio happens with the right pace, agreed budget and the result within the right quality. You will also be responsible for: • Managing project teams and consultants to achieve the agreed goals. • Developing the plans and budget for the capital projects. • Measuring and following up on the effects of the projects. This position is placed in the engineering department in Nynäshamn, 40 minutes south of Stockholm About you We see that you have a Master of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and many years of experience of projects. You are an experienced engineer and have good insight into the refinery and petrochemical industry and the challenges associated with this type of industry. You have a strong commitment to safety and safety performance. • You have strong awareness of safety, quality, and environmental regulations. Is a team player with strong interpersonal skills. • You have excellent communication skills and you are fluent in both English and Swedish. Discipline Lead Mechanical & Piping

The Engineering Department in Manufacturing is responsible for the specification and delivery of capital projects for Nynas, encompassing stand-alone projects, a portfolio of smaller plant additions and modifications, environmental projects, investigations and early phase study work. The team also provides engineering support to the refineries and businesses throughout the Nynas group. About the role: As a Discipline Lead – Piping and Mechanical, you will be responsible for the Piping and Mechanical Discipline at Nynas refinery at Nynäshamn and provide support to the refineries in Göteborg. In this role you will have the overall responsibility for the technical solutions within the Piping and Mechanical Discipline for all investment projects managed by Engineering. You will be responsible for planning and allocating resources for each project. You will also be the custodian for the tools and processes utilised by the piping and mechanical department You will report to the Head of Project Engineering, Project Managers, and Steering Committee for projects. Other key responsibilities include: Verifying and assuring the reliability of piping and mechanical solutions in projects. Planning and managing competence and resources within the Piping and Mechanical Discipline. Developing Nynas Technical Standards (NTS) for the Piping and Mechanical Discipline and ensuring their implementation in projects. Participating in engineering projects as an engineer or lead engineer. Providing technical guidance to other piping and mechanical discipline engineers in their daily activities, including modelling and layout studies, preparation of project deliverables such as calculations and drawings, equipment package management, and installation support Providing technical support for the procurement of packaged equipment and materials, including equipment specification, technical bid evaluation, and quality assurance. Custodian for the Smart Plant 3D modelling environment and existing 3D models of the facility. About you: We see that you display the Nynas core values of Proactivity, Cooperation, and Dedication. Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent. Familiarity with applicable Swedish and international regulations and standards Proficiency in AutoCAD or other 3D modelling software for preparing drawings and layouts. Experience in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) is strongly meritorious, but not essential. Familiary with piping calculation software such as CAEPIPE, ROHR2 or CAESAR II is advantageous. Experience in SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) for documentation is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Team, etc.).
