About us At Propulsion System and Climate Testing, we support the sustainability mission by being part of the commitment to rethink sustainability in our operations, in our cars and in society. Our scope is to secure appropriate and efficient test facilities enabling testing, verification and validation of power electronics, electric motors, transmission, thermal and climate systems as well as energy efficiency and emissions. The Propulsion Electronics Lab consists of 14 highly skilled engineers working with investment and test of Electrical Machines, Inverters and Power Electronics. It is a growing area with a lot of technical challenges and opportunities with many ongoing investments together with the responsibility to deliver quality assured test data. What´s in it for you?  Plant Business Office belongs to Plant Engineering at Volvo Cars Torslanda within global manufacturing and are divided into two main areas, Plant Project Management & Plant Specialists. Plant Business Office is the the plant strategical competence handling all matters on plant level. Responsible for early phases in body, casting, paint, battery and assembly shop for both product and non-product projects and is driving the vision layout towards ideal state in the complete plant and is supporting running production within our area of responsibilities.    Our main customer is Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Facility, Maintenance and Sustainability. Our deliveries are leading investigations and pre studies to enhance the output from the plant and to fulfil our KPI targets by presenting different business case within efficiency, vision layouts, flow simulations and sustainability. We are now looking for a sr Plant Project Manager in early phases for Paint Shop and to keep together projects and flows across Volvo Cars Torslanda.  What you’ll do As Plant Project Manager, you will encompass setting a comprehensive long-term plan spanning over a decade to ensure the attainment of our objectives. This includes the vision layout and step-by-step plans for Paint Shop, as well as for the entire site and its stakeholders. You will be aligning these plans with other plant strategies related to processes, sustainability, people experience, and mobility while also developing a feasible technical timeline. You will oversee the budget forecasting process by initiating, collecting, challenging, and motivating investment requests. You will conduct pre-studies related to capacity, industrial structure, efficiency, and future state manufacturing. This in close collaboration with the manufacturing business project office, manufacturing engineering, plant supply chain engineering, central logistics, and purchasing departments. Additionally, you will be involved in early-phase project management, specifically before the pre-PC gate and financial approval of product and non-product projects. Your responsibility will include concepts, time, technique, cost, KPI fulfilment and project resource planning. The Plant Project Manager works strategically where all deliverables will be evaluated with regards to the MR27 objectives within manufacturing. You will be responsible for planning both winter and summer shutdown activities. Furthermore, you will organize and cluster different activities on shop and plant level.  You and your profile We are looking for a committed and inspiring manager who is enthusiastic about project management. The right person has the ability to influence others and drive change. You have high integrity and establish trust-based relationships to better serve the organization through your great communication skills. You will develop test automation capabilities for the Low Speed Assistance functions, and work with method development within system and function testing. What you'll bring To be successful in the role you have a drive to learn continuously and are flexible to broaden your experience. You have a BCs or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control, Automotive or similar. You have strong experience in SW integration testing, as well as strong experience in vehicle testing. Driving license B is a must! Experience in in customer function and system verification as well as experience in parking functionality is meritorious. What you’ll do We are offering a great opportunity to work within Global Standard Packaging Engineering which is a global team with regional representatives in APAC, EMEA and the US.  You will be working closely with the new car development program to secure the packaging engineering function is fulfilled through the value chain between material supplier and manufacturing plant. This role will be located in Gothenburg, Sweden, and will have global project responsibility. You will manage the car program deliverables through concept development, industrialization and handing over phase from a packaging engineering perspective. As a project manager, you will coordinate with our engineering resources located in APAC, EMEA and US as well as the cross functional team through the entire car development period. Main tasks: * Define detailed timeplan for Packaging development and planning of suitable resource to secure deliveries from the global packaging team in accordance with overall program plan. * Responsible for Packaging status (KPI’s) as well as deliveries in accordance with logic plan to Program Office. * Share/distribute Program information with all concerned Packaging Engineers. Secure that the packaging engineering activity is fully aligned, and support the program deliverables. * Technical support to the Packaging Engineers for escalated issues. * Secure packaging solution alignment with plant and procurement as well as making sure that verification activities are planned and conducted as part of project scope. * Escalate Packaging deviations in terms of cost, planning and quality to the Program Office. * Collaborate and align with stakeholders through our value chain in view of Packaging Program deliveries. * Lead packaging improvement projects eg process development, cost saving activities, digitalization. What you‘ll bring * Bachelor’s degree in logistics engineering or packaging engineering will be preferred. * Working experience within logistics engineering or packaging engineering for minimum 5 years, automotive industry will be preferred. * Project management experience will be preferred. * Good planning capability and ability to secure the alignment. * Communicates effectively. * Able to balance between multiple stakeholders. * Ability to manage ambugity. * Result-driven. Required qualifications. * M.Sc or B.Sc in Computer Science, mechatronics, electronics or physics or similar. * Experience of system safety standards * Working experience within System/SW development in automotive industry (equivalent areas). * Experience from industry SW development is beneficial. * Experience from different tools and protocols e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, CAN is meritorious. * Requirements engineering (maintain, update, and release the requirements) * Capability to work with SW architecture and understand the SW design. * Knowledge of topology software releases and integration. * Plus: Knowledge in GNSS * Plus: Experience ECU extract, IP communication and signal interface * Plus: Tools proficiency in Car weaver, Elektra. * Plus: If involved in the SW development of VCU as a designer or developer. * Plus: Volvo cars Basetech system * Fluent in English (written and spoken). What we do Volvo Cars has established a central function to manage the company’s Used Cars and Remarketing operations. The team is working in close collaboration with the wider business on global matters. Volvo Global Used Cars and Remarketing is now looking for a new Manager, Global Export and Trade Operations (E&T), who will manage the Global Used Cars Export operations, working in close collaboration with the National Sales Companies (NSC’s) and various central functions.  You will work in an area with significant impact on the company’s short-term business as well as long-term strategies. You will report to the Head of Global Used Cars Export and Trade. What will you do? The Manager, Global Export and Trade Operations (E&T) has the overall operational responsibility for the current Global Export &Trade business, now in 26 countries, with the aim to increase the share of Volvo Used Cars (UC) through the Volvo network. Once implemented, the Manager, Global Export and Trade will have the overall operational responsibility for the E&T business globally (in APEC, Europe, LATAM).   A majority of your job will be to manage the weekly online international cross-border auctions and approved online methods for selling vehicles internationally, cross-border. You should expect a collaborative and fast-moving work environment where your responsibilities related to the online international cross-border auctions and sales include: * Management of weekly international cross-border auctions and other approved online cross-border sales methods in close cooperation with the NSC’s and their vendors and where retailers from different countries can bid and buy vehicles. * Reporting of the international cross-border online sales results weekly, monthly, annually, and as required to support the overall business needs. * Analysis of the international cross-border online sales and sales results to track success versus your KPI, to support continuous improvement of the global export and trade operations. * Onboarding of new buying and selling countries in close cooperation with the NSC’s. * Close cooperation with the NSC’s and their retailers and vendors, monitoring customer satisfaction, intervening as required, and recommending associated improvements. * Continuous work to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Global Export and Trade. * You will work closely to guide the new Remarketing Specialist, Global Export and Trade (E&T). The Remarketing Specialist, Global Export and Trade will support you with your global operational responsibilities for the global export and trade business. You will also be involved with other topics within the Global Used Cars and Remarketing scope. You will collaborate with and support your teammates on Remarketing sales, Export & Trade and Remarketing Operations who will likewise support you and you will support the Head of Global Used Cars and Remarketing on other strategic topics.
