Finance Director to Business Area Smelters You will have a key role in our operations and lead an agile team targeting continuous improvement of the business and financial performance at the Smelters. The finance director is responsible for the strategic financial planning, implementation and managing the entire finance activities within BA Smelters, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk, and governance as well as negotiations. The position is based at our headquarters in Stockholm, and frequent travel within our operations is required. You report to the President of Business Area Smelters. Key responsibilities: Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the management team based on financial analyses. Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting. Advising on long-term business, financial planning, and large-scale investments. Provide commercial insight and leadership across the BA to exceed business plan targets. Responsible for ensuring that the financial risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the BA. Developing and digitalizing finance function and processes. To lead, inspire and manage the Business Area as member of the Smelters MT. Your opportunity: For this role we are looking for a person with strong financial understanding, who can grasp the meaning of legislation and digitalization of a finance function. As a person you need to be pro-active and cooperative to work well with others in cross-functional teams. You will also need an analytical and logical mindset to have an understanding of the importance of finance area, identify areas of improvement, find and propose solutions. What you bring: A master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business. Several years’ experience of leading a finance function within a business unit, -area or a company, preferably in the mining/metals, construction, or process industry in an international context. Leadership skills to inspire and motivate your team. Experience of complex financial flows and derivatives. Language skills: English and preferably Swedish. What you will do: As R&D Geologist, you will be responsible for providing geochemistry expertise to ongoing exploration programs as well as driving technology development and innovation within the areas of geochemistry and spectral geology. You will also be involved in geology-related research collaborations with external research institutes and universities. Your work tasks will include: Assisting in design of geochemical sampling campaigns. Assisting in the collection, management, interpretation and modelling of geochemical data. Developing the understanding of mineral systems and their geochemical signature. Leading the development and implementation of new methods and technologies within your area of expertise. Coordinating external research collaboration efforts. Supervising MSc and PhD students. Monthly reporting and writing of high-quality technical reports. We endeavor to ensure mobility within the company and this position will involve some travel and short periods working in other countries. The position is a one-year fixed-term employment, full-time Monday to Friday and based in the Boliden Office. You will report to Manager Exploration R&D. What you bring: We are looking for a PhD in Geoscience with a minimum of 10 years' experience. Academic Post-Doc experience is meritorious. You should be familiar with common industry software. This position requires proficiency in both written and spoken English. You will be expected to be a skilled communicator and be result-oriented, flexible and capable of working independently and as part of a team, with the aim of contributing to the company's development. An EU category B driving license, or equivalent, is a requirement.
