Concept Engineer

Concept Engineer Are you a skillful Concept Engineer who can understand customers’ needs and transform them into solutions? Then this challenge is for you! You will be a part of a growing company in an international environment. Main activities and responsibilities Maintain and develop customer relations at an early stage of the process working close together making proposals and quotations in competition with other global players Develop factory layouts based on our unique and proven solutions creating and describing the values for the end-user to be convinced Do the conceptual design of new solutions required. Make calculations, visualizations, and simulations to verify the functionality and performance needed Make accurate cost estimations and time schedules and identify risks Involve and commit colleagues and lead internal reviews Make the most attractive descriptions and presentations, build credibility and trust Support the realization of the proposal in the project phase This is you You can work in a structured way and have a passion for machines, mechanical solutions, and robotics with the automation needed to make it run. You also have 3-4 years of experience. Required skills Experience working closely with customers and end-users Project results; cost-control, negotiations, scheduling, and risk management Fluent English in both writing and speech Fluent in design / layout engineering with CAD tools Experience of doing visualizations and simulations Working at FlexLink This role will be based at the global headquarters in Gothenburg. We are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join the Mechanical Engineering team in Gothenburg! As a Mechanical Design Engineer within R&D at FlexLink, your responsibility is to develop and maintain products and modules within our product range. You will be doing pre-studies, concept design, and detail design. For example 3D- print your design and test it in the workshop.This role would suit someone who's looking to grow into a Project Manager role within the year. Main activities and responsibilities Participate in new product development projects Participate in pre-studies connected to product development Improve the features and performance of current and future design Participate in continuous improvements within the Engineering team Developing technical documents (CAD, drawings, tech data sheet, mechanical calculation…) What you need to be successful We believe that you have 3-5 years of work experience in mechanical design engineering. You are also: Hold a BSc, MSc or similar experience within engineering (mechanical, mechatronics, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Have demonstrated experience in 3D CAD and PDM (SolidWorks is preferred) Experience in simulation methods is considered a plus Have fluency in English, both spoken and written You need to have a genuine interest in technology and manufacturing. We believe that you are a good collaborator and have good communication skills. We also expect you to be creative, proactive and self-propelled! About the role The Workshop and Installation Manager is responsible for the performance and planning of preliminary assembly, assembly of products in modules, and installation at customer site. The role is responsible for the resource planning of assembly and installation for the Nordic Sales unit and the Tissue team. Main Activities and Responsibilities Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the local workshop Ensure health and safety measures are maintained in the local workshop as well as during installation works at the customer site Quality control of tasks performed in the course of the assembly and installation process Execute excellent workmanship and awareness of making high-quality products Observance of procedures, work standards, and instructions applicable at the workplace Manage staff including workload analysis, headcount requirement, new staff recruitment and performance reviews including KPI evaluation Daily management and support to lead and mentor all team members with departmental responsibility Cooperate with the Project & Engineering Manager of the Nordic Sales unit and the Tissue team to ensure efficient project execution What You Need to Be Successful We believe that you have an education (Bachelor or equivalent) in Engineering.
