Senior Electrical Engineer - Wave Energy

Role We are looking for an ambitious person with relevant industrial electrical engineering experience to join our international team in Stockholm. Responsibilities Electrical system design for low voltage electrical power generation, storage, distribution, and export Establish requirements for components such as: drives, motors, circuit breakers, contactors, transformers, cables, connectors, enclosures, etc. Produce electrical diagrams using EPLAN Module owner; ensure the electrical system design meets performance, budget, and schedule targets while ensuring grid code compliance. Interface with other module owners and suppliers Establish optimal design to support industrialization and effective mass production Produce relevant technical documentation, including reports for 3rd party certification Perform failure mode, effects and criticality analysis for modules and system Investigate new solutions to improve performance, reliability and manufacturability Support procurement activities, including component and supplier selection, manufacturing and factory acceptance testing Perform assembly, testing and troubleshooting Skills and qualifications Experience with motors, inverters, energy storage, and low voltage systems Experience with Grid Code Compliance Experience with CAD system for electrical design (preferably EPLAN) Experience with renewable generation, marine and industrial systems, including applicable standards A strong practical competence required, able to do commissioning and troubleshooting, along with proven experience in design, documentation, and field support We value additional experience with instrumentation and control, and high voltage systems You have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in design of electrical systems for industrial machinery or automotive. You have a track record of successfully taking new products through planning, design, manufacturing, and testing. You may have a B.Sc or a M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering or related disciplines, but your personality, experience and interest in the field is the most important. You are proficient in English, both spoken and written. Technical Business Developer

Role At CorPower, our commercial team is on the lookout for a highly motivated individual with a background in the renewable energy sector. This role is pivotal in enhancing our sales and business development efforts through specialized expertise in business case analyses and modelling. Based in our Stockholm office, the successful candidate will bridge the gap between engineering, business development, and sales teams by leveraging a deep understanding of our technology and product offerings, linked to customer needs. This position demands excellent collaborative abilities and a robust engineering acumen to interact effectively with both our commercial and technical teams. Responsibilities Craft and refine business cases and financial analyses for full-scale installations, focusing on metrics such as LCOE, IRR, NPV, ROI, and conducting sensitivity analyses. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities by aligning our value propositions with customer needs. From inception through to execution, provide financial analysis support for commercial projects, ensuring alignment with financial and technical goals. Support in securing Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with off-takers. Previous experience structuring project financing and PPA agreements would bring added value to the role. Engage in discovery calls alongside sales representatives to understand prospective clients’ needs, crafting tailored solutions in response. Compile and prepare technical documentation and responses for RFIs and RFQs. Develop and refine internal modelling tools for improved efficiency and accuracy. Conduct preliminary yield assessments for potential sites, supporting project viability analyses. Skills and qualifications A master’s or doctoral degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Marine), Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred. Demonstrable experience in technical sales support and managing applications involving sophisticated technology solutions. A foundational understanding of, and interest in, data science with hands-on experience in data modelling (using Python and other software tools) is highly desirable. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial modelling, including cost analysis and risk assessment, will be advantageous. An analytical mindset with a comprehensive technical knowledge base, coupled with a keen interest in ocean energy and modelling. Creative problem-solving skills, a patient demeanour, and a commitment to seeing projects through to completion. A strong work ethic, excellent team collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, agile team environment. Exceptional communication skills in English are essential for success in this role. Project engineer (Electrical Engineering)

The Role The Project Office at CorPower is looking for a dynamic project engineer (Electrical Engineering) to join a fast-growing and successful team to lead delivery of PreFEED and FEED projects from the Electrical Work Package perspective. The role requires the mindset of engineer first, project manager second, combining both these skills to deliver sound technical engineering projects with a solid application of project management principles. This is a dynamic role where no day is the same and in which one must be comfortable reacting to a fast-paced environment where solutions must be found quickly through agile management, solid problem solving, good engineering judgement and strong leadership. The role will be working closely with the electrical design team but will involve a large amount of interaction with our entire engineering, supply chain, testing and finance teams requiring good collaboration skills. You will join a highly collaborative team of Technical Project Managers & Project Engineers in the Projects Team which will be your base from which to deliver PreFEED and FEED projects. The role is commercially focussed on developing projects, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, and delivering PreFEED and FEED stages of commercial wave farm projects around the world. Responsibilities · Manage PreFEED & FEED projects to meet performance, schedule, budget and quality targets from the Electrical Engineering Work Package perspective. · Define and drive project scopes and work packages to align with the overall development of the company · Combine engineering and project management needs · Evaluate, organize and prioritize tasks and resources in your projects · Ensure alignment between all stakeholders, serve the multidisciplinary engineering teams with status and schedule updates and project reports · Identify and drive improvements in key Business Tools requiring a detailed understanding of our operations · Submit Technical and Financial project status reports to clients · Write and coordinate new project scopes · Represent CorPower at various events/meetings/presentations (travelling is part of the role) · Support pilot installations in the field · Lead customer project formulation (proposals/bids) and RFI responses, project delivery, and execution of new commercial projects from the Electrical Work Package perspective. · Point of contact in Project Team for Electrical Engineering project development matters Skills and qualifications · You have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant background from technical project engineering and an engineering degree. · Experience in electrical system design, combining high reliability and low-cost volume manufacturing methods. · Experience from fast-paced development companies is meritorious. · You have a broad technical knowledge of electrical applications and genuine interest in the different aspects of ocean and/or renewable energy and technical development. · Knowledge and exposure to at least three areas of power systems, grid compliance (including codes and regulations), power quality, electrical machines and drives, control technology, sensors and actuators, high voltage components and energy storage is highly qualifying. · Awareness and understanding of wiring schematics and tools, software development, offshore design, product development methods, reliability and certification processes is valuable. · Experience in using and developing tools such as Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tools is also a plus.
