We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Web Experience team within our Soundtrack product area. From music adaptation tools, to audio/video editors, to voiceovers, the Web Experience team builds cutting-edge, AI-powered user experiences to help creators effortlessly soundtrack their content. Job Summary As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be a technical pillar for the team, providing the architectural vision and the hands-on expertise needed to ensure the long-term health and evolution of our soundtracking features. We’re looking for a leader and a collaborator. You aren't just an expert in React; you’re someone who thrives on mentoring others, refining engineering standards, and bridging the gap between complex technical requirements and intuitive user experiences. You take ownership of the "how" and "why" behind our technical decisions, ensuring our web application remains scalable as we grow. Responsibilities Lead & Architect: Drive the technical direction of soundtracking features together with the team, ensuring we build scalable, maintainable, and performant frontend systems. Mentor & Multiply: Actively mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural workshops to elevate the team's collective skill set. Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to ensure technical feasibility is baked into the roadmap. Technical Excellence: Champion best practices in modular design, testing, and documentation, keeping our codebase healthy and our deployment pipelines efficient. Performance & Reliability: Take a proactive approach to monitoring and optimizing the web application, ensuring a seamless experience for our users. Requirements Expertise: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a deep mastery of React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Leadership: Proven experience leading complex projects from concept to deployment and a track record of mentoring other engineers. Systems Thinking: A strong ability to design modular systems and an understanding of how frontend architecture impacts the broader ecosystem. Collaborative Mindset: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. It would also be music to our ears if you have: Web Media Proficiency: Experience working with technologies such as the Web Audio API, WebGL, and video codecs. Full-Stack Fluency: Experience with backend frameworks or deep knowledge of GraphQL. Tooling & Infrastructure: Experience managing monorepos, compilers/bundlers, and sophisticated CI/CD pipelines. Product Growth: Experience with A/B testing, funnel optimization, and accessibility (WCAG) standards. We are now looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to drive the innovation, scale, and technical direction of the systems that empower millions of creators to elevate their content. About the Role As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will be a strategic technical leader across multiple teams within the Soundtrack area. You’ll play a key role in bringing our mission to life through architectural oversight, hands-on coding, and close collaboration with senior leaders across tech, product, and design. In Soundtrack we are constantly breaking new ground to build the best tools for soundtracking for creators. We serve our AI powered features across a broad range of clients, and our backend capability platform needs to support this advanced product ecosystem in a flexible yet structured way. We solve exciting and complex problems in the intersection of sound, video, software engineering and machine learning, utilizing both agentic workflows and generative AI. You’ll work on a broad range of initiatives, from defining core architectural foundations to driving technical choices that affect our entire backend ecosystem. You’ll lead by example, mentor other engineers, drive platform decisions, and ensure our microservices architecture is robust, scalable, and built for the long term. Responsibilities Set technical direction: Define the backend strategy across the product area, ensuring a scalable and maintainable architecture that aligns with our ambitious product goals. Architect complex systems: Act as a primary partner to engineering and product leads, translating complex business requirements into elegant, performant backend solutions that align with machine learning and frontend requirements. Lead high-impact discovery: Drive early-stage technical discovery for important initiatives, making strategic trade-offs and mapping out execution paths for multiple teams. Raise the engineering bar: Promote backend excellence by championing best practices in API design, system resilience, security, and observability across the organization. Mentor & coach: Inspire and grow technical capabilities across the tech organization, fostering a culture of feedback, mob programming, and continuous learning. Platform strategy: Align backend frameworks, tooling, and conventions across teams to enable fast, safe, and consistent development. What we’re looking for Deep backend skills: You have extensive experience with modern backend technologies, preferably Go (or languages like Kotlin/Python) and a deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices. Architectural vision: A proven track record of leading complex technical projects from initial strategy through to execution at scale. Infrastructure fluency: Deep experience building scalable and reliable software systems. Holistic leadership: You balance hands-on coding with big-picture systems thinking, capable of moving between deep-dives into code and high-level architectural planning. Collaborative mindset: Excellent communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and thrive in a cross-functional, agile environment. Product mindset: A passion for building high-quality, user-centered software and an understanding of how technical choices impact the end-user experience. As an Analytics Engineer, you will join the central Analytics Engineering team. Your mission is to provide the tools, solutions, and datasets that enable the company to stay ever more data-informed by bridging the gap between product development and data analytics. You will play a vital role in ingesting data from our data lake into the data warehouse, where it will be transformed, scheduled, and made ready for use by analytics and product development teams. Our modern data stack runs on Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery as a data warehouse, Google Cloud Composer (Airflow) for orchestration, and dbt for data transformation. Your key responsibilities include: Design, build, and maintain the Epidemic data models. Drive data architecture matters, ensuring that everything from tracking to reporting cubes adheres to Epidemic’s best practices. Work with business stakeholders and design data models to quantitatively support everything from corporate strategy to user acquisition. Support and mentor analytics consumers on best software engineering practices and share learnings across the organization. Requirements Experience with data modeling in a modern data environment (such as BigQuery or Snowflake) Strong communication skills Experience translating business requirements into robust data models Experience in SQL and Python. A love for teamwork, continuous improvement, and sharing knowledge. Follow best software engineering practices in your work. Professional working proficiency in English. Nice to have Experience with dbt or previous experience working with or setting up ELT-like data pipelines. Experience with any of the following tooling: Terraform, Snowplow, Apache Airflow, Looker.
