Role description Our quantitative analysis team face a lot of novel and interesting challenges. We are looking for someone who is driven by the challenge of building robust and performant models and applications, where "best in class" is the given standard to go by. It is also important that you are open to new challenges and have the willingness to learn from colleagues as well as research new topics. We are a tight-knit team who works closely together to solve novel and complex problems in sports modelling. Many esports games have complicated match structures which are not seen in ordinary sports modelling. As a senior quant, it is also your responsibility to drive modelling and development practices in the team. Main responsibilities: Support and work in close collaboration with trading, risk and other areas of the business by providing algorithmic solutions Responsible for the end-to-end process of algorithm development, from inception to deployment as well as maintenance Analysis and interpretation of data to produce meaningful information, in particular changes in patterns and trends Communicate results and ideas to stakeholders Skills and experience: An academic degree in a quantitative discipline (computer science, mathematics, physics, etc.) Previous experience in a similar role designing predictive models for real-world business problems Advanced knowledge of stochastic processes, mathematical methods and probability theory Proficiency with C/C++ and Python, in particular having worked in software teams (git) is a plus Experience using statistical and query computer languages (R/SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with cloud computing (AWS) is a plus The successful candidate has: Creative and experimental mindset to data mining Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development A drive to promote innovative algorithmic solutions and data driven decision-making Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to both business and technical minded colleagues Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities What's in it for you?
