The Role Design compressor units for the European market at system level (P&ID). Dimensioning and selecting components, heat exchangers, pipes and pressure vessels. Be the technical point of contact for the customer throughout the project, offering support to sales as well as technical support during installation and after-sales service. Collaborate closely with the unit manufacturers during detailed design and production to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineer to play a key role in developing and supporting innovative compressor solutions for the European market. Some of the processes we are working on at this time are: Ammonia process refrigeration Steam compressors High temperature heat pump systems Coke oven gas compression SO2 condensation Etc Your Profile In order to be successful in this role, we believe that you are a well established and driven engineer with a keen interest and experience in industrial refrigeration and other thermal systems. Ideally, your experience originates from compressor systems or similar business. Engineering master degree or a bachelor (for the more experienced engineer) Demonstrated competence and experience in refrigeration and/or chemical industry Experience from Thermal system layout design and P&ID Proven track record in thermodynamic calculations and dimensioning of system components Previous experience in the field of rotating machinery is advantageous Previous experience in pressure vessel codes and regulations for explosive environment is advantageous. Fluency in English and Swedish, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

The Role Your responsibilities will involve: Conducting simulation and aero-design of centrifugal compressors and turbines. Performing structural analysis of impellers and other components. Providing support to our design engineers and laboratory, leveraging expertise in rotating machinery. Handling general calculation tasks with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Engaging in the complete chain of activities, from specification through design, prototyping, and testing. Your Profile You are an enthusiastic engineer or PhD with a background in mechanical engineering and a well-established expertise in CFD. Your practical experience includes working on the engineering of rotating equipment, preferably in the realm of compressors or pumps. At SRM, we utilize Ansys for CFD calculations, and we anticipate your proficiency in this or similar software. Moreover, you will actively contribute to the development of in-house calculation software for dimensioning and simulation purposes, collaborating with the rest of our R&D team. Your qualifications include: Engineering University Master's degree or PhD Turbomachinery design skills on expert level Proven experience in engineering calculations, programming, and simulation Preferably, previous exposure to designing/developing rotating machinery Proficiency in CFD, preferably with Ansys CFX Familiarity with finite element analysis, preferably using Ansys Mechanical Profound knowledge in mathematics and thermodynamics Knowledge in Matlab and/or other tools and languages is a natural part of the engineering work.
