Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager is a critical role within Sellpy, responsible for crafting next-level code, supporting peers and contributing to our technical architecture. Take part in the Sellpy Academy leadership training. You need: A minimum of a 3-year engineering degree in Computer Science (B.S. or M.S.). Experience in leading and guiding full-cycle technical development projects. A minimum of 5 years of work experience from a previous engineering role. Strong proficiency in JavaScript or extensive knowledge in another programming language with a willingness to rapidly enhance your JavaScript skills. A true interest in encouraging and helping others succeed. Demonstrated success in enhancing software architecture. Written and spoken fluency in English, as this is our company language. Accounting Lead

We are looking for an ambitious Accounting Manager with the expertise and drive to set up financial routines in Germany. The Accounting Manager exercises a critical role in the Finance team, responsible for all aspects of the German accounting operations for Sellpy. Today our accounting operations in Germany are outsourced and your initial task will be to lead the insourcing and the implementation of the group ERP system. Responsibilities include ensuring precise accounting for our German entity, securing compliance with financial regulations and continuously improving processes to produce timely high-quality financial records. This position is an exceptional opportunity for the accounting expert who excels in an entrepreneurial setting and who is dedicated to building a modern and efficient accounting function. In short, you will: Be responsible for the insourcing project in Germany. Lead the ERP change from Datev to Netsuite. Manage German accounting with responsibility for the entire general ledger. Create journal entries, including depreciation, bank reconciliation entries, cost accruals, and amortizations. Prepare VAT declarations and other relevant filings for the German entity. Lead statutory audits and prepare financial statements for the German entity. Participate in budgeting/forecasting processes and budget reviews. Assist in the monthly group reporting. You need: A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with accounting in a German legal entity, including but not limited to journal entries, audits, VAT filings, and working with the full income statement and balance sheet. Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets. Excellent communication skills in both German and English, both verbally and in writing. An analytical mindset, strong attention to detail and a continuous drive to improve processes. To be comfortable working in a high-growth company and facing new challenges we haven’t met before.
