We are shifting city management from reactive repairs to proactive, data-driven maintenance—saving costs, reducing CO2 emissions, and improving public safety. The Mission The Backbone of Operations: Every 3DAI™ deployment starts with a phone and a holder in a box. You make sure devices are set up, tested and shipped across Europe on time and fully traceable. Quality at the Source: Our AI is only as good as its data. You help keep our annotation work accurate and on schedule. The Heart of the Office: You shape the everyday experience of 40 scientists, engineers and business builders in our bright office by the water in Hammarby Sjöstad. Established yet Agile: Founded in 2015, we have the stability of an established firm with the speed of a startup. The Role A hands-on, varied role spanning data, hardware, logistics and workplace. No two days look the same, and you'll be the go-to person who makes things happen. Data Annotation & Quality: Annotate, re-annotate and validate data, monitor quality standards, and troubleshoot annotation tools. Annotation Team Support: Help annotators meet productivity, quality and deadline targets. Train new annotators and answer questions about processes and tools. Device Setup: Charge, configure and install apps on phones and car phone holders, create user accounts per internal guidelines, and test every device before it ships. Packaging & Shipping: Pack collection kits according to checklists, label and document contents, ship via our providers, and log tracking so all hardware is traceable. Inventory Management: Keep device and accessory inventory up to date, run regular stock checks, and initiate replenishment when stock runs low. Office Coordination: Organise weekly team breakfast and Lunch & Learns (polls, food orders and all), manage office hardware, and handle deliveries, including pickups from local collection points. Workplace Environment: Keep the office tidy and welcoming, from desks and fridges to fresh flowers, and proactively improve how we work. Who You Are Organised by Nature: You love structure, checklists and accurate records. Hands-on and Practical: You're comfortable unboxing deliveries, setting up a phone, packing a shipment and fixing a basic tech issue, all in the same afternoon. Detail-oriented: Whether validating annotations or labelling a package, you get it right the first time. Service-minded: You enjoy helping colleagues and making the workplace better for everyone. What You Bring Required: Experience: Background in office coordination, administration, operations, logistics or a similar hands-on role. Tech Comfort: Confident setting up smartphones and apps and quick to learn new tools. Accuracy: A track record of maintaining precise records, inventories or quality-controlled work. Communication: Fluent English, with the ability to explain processes clearly and train others. Preferred: Experience with data annotation, labelling or quality assurance work. Experience with inventory management, shipping or e-commerce logistics. Swedish language skills. AI-tool literacy — using AI to speed up your own workflows and problem-solving. Driving licence. What's in It for You? We provide the environment and the tools for you to do the best work of your career. Responsibility: Become a true stakeholder in a small team where your work keeps our operations running. Variety and Growth: Gain exposure to AI data workflows, hardware deployment and international logistics, with real room to shape how we work. The "Work-Life" Blend: A culture that values output over "desk time". Overtime is rare, something you don't find in many tech startups. Senior Backend Developer
Univrses AB (publ)
Mjukvaru- och systemutvecklare m.fl.

About us Univrses is a Swedish technology company specialising in artificial intelligence and computer vision. Founded in 2015, we have spent more than a decade developing technology that turns visual data into actionable intelligence. Today, our work spans two complementary areas: automotive, and road and public infrastructure. In the latter, our 3DAI™ system uses cameras mounted on everyday vehicles to turn visual data into structured, geo-referenced data and imagery about road conditions and road assets. The system is deployed in 15+ countries and supports road authorities, contractors and infrastructure owners in building a more current and detailed view of their road networks. The role As a Senior Backend Developer, you will help design, build and scale the systems behind 3DAI™. The platform stores and processes large volumes of geospatial and time-series data generated as vehicles collect information across road networks. Your work will help ensure that these systems remain reliable, maintainable and ready to scale as 3DAI™ continues to evolve. You will work hands-on with Node.js, TypeScript and AWS, with substantial ownership from technical design through to production. Your role: Develop and scale backend services that support the storage, processing and visualisation of large volumes of geospatial and time-series data. Design efficient and maintainable solutions across APIs, database schemas, security, logging, monitoring and scaling. Own features end-to-end, translating high-level specifications into production-grade services. Design and work with distributed systems involving asynchronous processing, caching, queues and service-to-service communication. Use AI-assisted development and agentic workflows, including tools such as Cursor or Claude Code, to accelerate development, refactoring and automation while maintaining high engineering standards. Contribute to code quality through testing, technical discussions, knowledge sharing and modern software engineering practices. Who you are You are an experienced backend engineer who enjoys taking ownership of complex technical problems and turning high-level requirements into reliable, maintainable services. You are comfortable reasoning about systems end-to-end and care about the quality of what reaches production. You work well with others, share knowledge openly and value feedback. You are curious about new tools and engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, and know how to use them without compromising sound technical judgement or code quality. What you bring Required: 5+ years of backend development experience, or a proven track record of equivalent depth, building production-grade services with Node.js, TypeScript and AWS. A solid understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL. Strong hands-on experience with geospatial and time-series data, including specialised tools and databases such as PostGIS. Experience with serverless computing or Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Docker or the Serverless Framework. Experience designing and reasoning about distributed systems, including asynchronous processing, caching, queues and service-to-service communication. A strong approach to code quality, including unit and integration testing. Bonus points Experience with any of the following is a plus: High-performance relational, analytical or NoSQL databases. Messaging and event-driven systems such as SQS, SNS, Kafka or similar. Observability tools for logging, monitoring, tracing and alerting. CI/CD pipelines and production deployment workflows. What’s in it for You? Responsibility: Take meaningful ownership of features and technical solutions in a small team where your work has a direct influence on the product. Flexibility: Flexible working hours and a hybrid setup combining our Stockholm office with remote work. Benefits: Occupational pension and an annual wellness allowance of up to SEK 5,000.
