This work package will work within the infotainment & connectivity area with a target in-car app that currently exists as a prebuilt integrated application. While functional, the app lacks comprehensive documentation, clear ownership, and compliance validation. Additionally, there are known issues and potential architectural improvements that need to be addressed. The team will define the tasks required to document, assess, and enhance the in-car app to align with organizational workflows, compliance standards, and future deployment strategies. Job Description Proven experience in automotive system validation, preferably with infotainment or vehicle network domains. Proficient in vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet. Hands-on experience with test tools: CANalyzer, CANoe, Vector tools, or dSPACE environments. Strong understanding of HiL testing, test rig configuration, and system integration testing. Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or similar for test automation and data analysis. Knowledge of embedded systems, ECU architecture, and control software fundamentals. Experience using diagnostic protocols like UDS, OBD-II for fault tracing and root cause analysis. Nice-to-Have: Exposure to multi-site project support or coordination across distributed teams. Experience working in infotainment or HMI systems validation. Knowledge of automotive test vehicle operations, workshop tools, and HW/SW co-debugging. Understanding of ECU flashing tools, SW release validation, or in-car testing procedures. Job Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain manual infotainment test rigs used by software developers, suppliers, and stakeholders for short-loop code validation on actual hardware. Ensure test vehicles are always in a functional state through software updates, hardware troubleshooting, and ongoing system validation. Provide cross-site support for the growing number of rigs and vehicles, collaborating with multiple engineering locations as needed. Maintain and configure test bench setups, integrating ECUs, HMI units, and interfaces using automotive buses like CAN, LIN, and Ethernet. Perform system-level testing and validation using tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, dSPACE, and Vector VT systems. Use diagnostic protocols (UDS, OBD-II) to trace faults and support troubleshooting activities. Implement test automation and data analysis using Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting languages. Act as a workshop-level support resource, providing hardware and software troubleshooting on-site. Department/Project Description We are seeking skilled Rig & In-Vehicle Test Engineers to join our system validation and integration team. The focus of this role is to ensure operational excellence in building, maintaining, and supporting test rigs and infotainment test vehicles. These rigs and vehicles are critical for fast feedback loops for software developers and serve as essential platforms for internal validation and stakeholder collaboration. The engineers will also be responsible for system-level testing, fault diagnostics, and support of embedded infotainment platforms across both desk-rig environments and fully integrated test vehicles. This role requires practical experience with automotive communication protocols, test tools, embedded systems, and test automation scripting.
