We offer competitive salaries, financial support for further training, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) leading to chartered status, performance incentives and the ability to progress your career with a world class engineering contractor.  Job Description Based on site in Skellefteå, Sweden the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project engineering associated with the mechanical subcontract package including design development and engineering, value engineering, field support, engineering quality control, technical reviews and procurement, testing, commissioning & startup, for a large value production facilitate, reporting to the Project Manager – Mechanical. The successful candidate will be required to manage the mechanical engineering team and interface with in-house commissioning & quality teams and the in-house electrical team to ensure system design requirements are coordinated and delivered. The mechanical engineer will be required to review all equipment technical submittals and ensure these meet the requirements of the design. Skills and Requirements · Mechanical Degree qualified · Hold excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems and products · Excellent communication and reporting skills · Minimum 8 years experience in mechanical roles with at least 3years in a lead role · Understanding of project planning, construction sequencing and critical path · Previous experience working in Sweden an advantage but not essential · Have a sound understanding of mechanical and HVAC system commissioning & startup · Knowledge in BMS systems an advantage · Knowledge of clean & dry rooms required Benefits We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Your responsibilities will include: · Organise and execute HV switching, isolation, earthing, and issue of safety documentation for customer HV networks up to 33kV. · Ensure, so far as is reasonable and practicable, that all personnel observe and comply with relevant Safe Systems of Work · Evaluate, review, appoint and maintain a register of skilled/competent persons (including records of training and areas of responsibilities) · Ability to carry out Investigations with respect to near misses, incidents, and accidents. · Assist with and coordinate on-site teams and sub-contractors, ensuring they complete tasks on time and safely to required standards. · Allocate work and ensure completion in accordance with the project schedule and Cx Plan · Adhere to all Statutory Standards and Regulations · Assist teams with resolving matters arising. · Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, etc. · Complete project documentation and reports accurately and concisely. · Identify corrective actions and implementation of countermeasures to maximise productivity. · Liaise with client managers daily and have a voice in project meetings. Skills and Requirements To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: • Ability to use own initiative with a hands-on approach. • Excellent project management and organisational skills. • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrated teamwork skills, attention to detail and work ethic. • Authorised as AP able to work on 33kV. • Experience of delivering efficient and effective services to customers whether on site or at a planning stage from an office environment. • Excellent knowledge of Distribution Safety rules and their application. • Excellent H&S Knowledge and Standards • Safe Pass – CCNSG/CSCS or equivalent • The ability to demonstrate a pragmatic and ‘common sense’ approach to problem solving. • The ability to prioritise works, accommodate conflicting requests, whilst ensuring the day-to-day functionality of the project Benefits We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
