As a Senior Software Engineer at Anyfin you will be joining a diverse and fast-paced startup environment with co-workers who are as motivated, helpful and open to change as you are. You’ll be joining a team with a mix of senior, mid level and junior developers where there are a lot of possibilities both to learn and to help others by sharing your knowledge. You will be part of building something truly big from the ground up where no day will be the same. What you will do: You'll be using Node and React as your main tools along with Typescript, GraphQL and Postgres. You lean more towards backend but also enjoy frontend. You will work on complex coding challenges, building new products and also features to our existing products. You'll be working on a variety of components, from processing systems and communication gateways to our customer facing web and native apps. Actively contribute to the system and product design - an open and curious mind is key. You will be working in autonomous cross functional domains and be part of product and business decision making. You’ll be sharing knowledge, best practices and guidelines. Who you are: You have excellent skills in JavaScript and have a clear preference for Node and React, since that is what we're heavily leaning towards. We believe you have at least 3 years of professional experience. If you also have experience in react-native we would be thrilled. You can find the right balance between the perfect code and what is required at the time. We’re building the foundations of something truly big, so it’s extra important that you write clean and readable code. You have an open mind and like people for what they are (yes, this belong in the formal requirements section) Other relevant coding skills include React-Native, Python, Go, SQL but are not a must. It is a plus if you have been working in the financial sector and have a degree in computer science. We’re primarily looking for senior candidates from diverse backgrounds. What you will be doing As a Senior Data Scientist at Anyfin, you will be joining a diverse and fast-paced scale-up environment with co-workers who are motivated, helpful, adaptable and committed to creating fantastic (we mean amazing) tech and products. Your work will have an immediate impact on the organization and the next generation of fintech software. We are looking for a senior generalist who will be touching everything from AI and Data Engineering to Data Science. You will be the bridge between data and the rest of the organization, owning the data infrastructure together with our Engineers. You will support the organization with marketing data, user credit data and everything product data related. You will also be developing models for Anyfin’s products and collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to develop new features. In your role you will also support the product team in making data-driven decisions through the creation of models and data pipelines. More in detail, you will be responsible for: Data Analysis: Performing analysis and generating insights from Anyfin’s massive data set Data Architecture Design: You will be collaborating with different team members to design and optimize Anyfin's data architecture, to ensure it can support advanced analytics and models efficiently Pipeline Development: Creation and maintenance of data pipelines to support advanced analytics and ML Development Product Development: Contribute to the development of data-driven products and features Mentor junior data scientists, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration Skills & Requirements Who you are You have a genuine passion for continuous learning and a real interest in the possibilities of Data Science, AI and Machine Learning. You will work with the core backend services team that enables our business, and be part of building something truly big, where no day will be the same. You will work on data pipelines, with the financial backend team as well as closely with the credit team. Through your work you will make sure we give the best offer to our customers by improving our payment infrastructure, accounting and financial reporting and third party integrations. In the core services team we have multiple Python as well as JavaScript services and in this role you will be working on both but have your main ownership for the Python parts. More in detail, you will be responsible for: Taking the main ownership and being the key driver of our Python services, driving them to the next level and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. You are also expected to contribute to the JavaScript parts. Work closely and cooperate with key stakeholders such as our Data Scientists, Finance Team, Product Managers, and Business Analysts. Participate in discussions with external parties such as credit bureaus, partner banks etc. Be an active part in driving our infrastructure and architecture forward. Mentoring more junior engineers. Drive Python best practices internally. Skills & Requirements Who you are You have a genuine passion for continuous learning and a limitless curiosity for exploring promising opportunities. In addition, we believe you: Have extensive experience in Python and love working with it. We believe it takes at least 5+ years to get there. Solid experience in server applications and relational databases (we use Postgres but any other one will do as well). Profound experience with cloud technologies, preferably in GCP. Some experience in JavaScript as you will be touching it on a frequent basis as well. Experience in cloud technologies, with knowledge of GCP being advantageous. We’d be thrilled if you have a degree in Computer Science and experience from the financial sector or accounting and financial data systems but it is not a must.
