Electrician – Hydrogen Plant As an Electrician in our hydrogen plant, you will be part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems that support hydrogen production and storage. You will work on a variety of electrical systems, including pumps, compressors, automation systems, and electrical instruments. Your role will involve troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and ensuring the reliability of these systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Collaboration with other departments will be key to minimize downtime and maintain the high availability of plant equipment. By following technical documentation and safety procedures, you’ll contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and sustainable working environment. This is a hands-on role where your electrical expertise will directly support Stegra’s mission of producing green hydrogen and contributing to a more sustainable industrial future. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair electrical systems, including pumps, compressors, and automation systems. Troubleshoot and service electrical instruments used in monitoring and controlling hydrogen production. Ensure electrical systems are operating efficiently and in line with plant safety protocols. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with scheduled plans to minimize downtime. Use technical manuals and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to detect faults and potential issues early. Support heat tracing activities to ensure proper temperature regulation of piping systems. Collaborate with plant teams to plan and execute electrical maintenance without disrupting plant operations. Qualifications We are seeking an experienced and reliable Electrician with a solid background in electrical maintenance and industrial operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems in process-driven industries such as food production, water treatment, power generation, or chemical manufacturing. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with practical experience maintaining pumps, compressors, and automation systems. A strong understanding of safety standards and operational procedures is essential to ensure the plant runs efficiently and safely. Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Solid experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within process-driven or industrial environments. Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, and automation systems. Proficiency in maintaining electrical instruments used for monitoring and control. Experience with heat tracing and maintaining piping systems. Shift electricians may, as part of the position, become members of Stegra’s internal rescue team (Rescue Service). Electricians have valuable skills and will receive specialized training to carry out rescue operations. Prior experience in this area is advantageous, but we also welcome those willing to undergo training and medical assessments to take on this important task. Your leadership will ensure seamless execution of tasks, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective coordination among team members to maintain continuous production and achieve operational targets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to join our steel production operations at an early stage and, together with the production manager, build up your area. You will be involved in establishing routines and work processes within your field, as well as take part in recruiting employees for your own team. We place great importance on our shift managers having previous experience in steel production. While we certainly value leadership experience in combination with steel production experience, previous leadership experience is not a requirement for this position. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, promoting safety, performance, and a positive work environment. Allocate resources, manage staffing, and minimize downtime to meet operational goals. Plan and assign tasks, ensuring the team has the tools, parts, and knowledge to succeed. Enforce safety protocols, conduct checks, and address safety or quality issues promptly. Ensure clear and accurate shift reporting on production, equipment, and incidents. Support team training, development, and adherence to operational standards. Drive continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation. Monitor team performance, address deficiencies, and implement corrective actions. Participate in departmental improvement work and lead improvement groups. Maintain and monitor quality standards as per established criteria. Perform tasks as assigned by the direct manager. Qualifications: A high school diploma in a relevant field is preferred. A bachelor's degree in metallurgy, process engineering, or another related field is an advantage but not a requirement. Experience in steel production in a production-related role Experience with safety protocols in heavy industrial environments Leadership experience in a production environment Strong process knowledge and familiarity with the department's technical equipment and safety procedures Excellent proficiency in English. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage. Personal Qualities: Comfortable working at heights, hot and dusty environment Requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses. Lab Technician The Site Laboratory Technician for quality & metalurgy in steel operations, plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the steel manufacturing process. This position involves conducting a wide range of mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical tests on samples, ensuring that testing and analysis are accurate, timely, and compliant with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality protocols. Conduct mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical tests (ISO, DIN, JIS, ASTM), including tensile, hardness, impact, chemical testing, and SEM analysis. Prepare and program samples using CNC machining and robotic systems. Calibrate and maintain testing equipment for accuracy and reliability. Maintain a clean and safe lab environment. Record and analyze test data, reporting deviations or non-conformities. Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for timely reporting. Complete tasks assigned by the manager. Experience & qualifications Experience in mechanical or industrial laboratory environments preferred. Familiarity with international testing standards (ISO, ASTM, JIS, DIN). Knowledge of CNC machining, robotic systems, and metallurgical tools is a plus. Experience with acids and steel industry standards is advantageous. Holds an EU category B driving licence. Skills & attributes Strong safety awareness and ability to lift and handle up to 25 kg. Proficient with testing equipment, data analysis, and calibration procedures. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues independently. Excellent communication in English; Swedish is a plus. Effective team player with digital reporting proficiency.
