For one of our clients, we are looking for a hands-on CI/CD Platform Engineer. We are open to both employment and freelance/subcontractor arrangements. In this role, you will help develop, maintain, and operate shared CI infrastructure that supports multiple development teams. The platform covers build automation, test execution, artifact handling, and deployment workflows. Responsibilities Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines Operate and continuously improve the CI infrastructure Automate build, integration, test, and deployment workflows Troubleshoot and resolve CI-related and build integration issues Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of the CI environment Support development teams with pipeline integration and CI/CD best practices Implement and maintain container-based build environments Maintain technical documentation and standards Technical competence We are looking for experience in several of the following areas: Python Bash scripting Bazel Jenkins Zuul Docker Kubernetes Git, GitHub, and version control workflows Multi-repository management CI/CD pipeline architecture and design Linux-based systems Infrastructure automation Infrastructure as Code, using tools such as Terraform or Ansible Debugging build and integration issues Operating large-scale CI platforms Artifact repositories Experience with Toprepo or similar multi-repository management solutions is an advantage. What you’ll be working with You’ll join a development team at one of our clients, working with modern cloud-based backend services and complex technical challenges. Depending on the role, the stack may include Java, Spring Boot, Python, AWS, Azure and Kubernetes. You’ll be part of a collaborative, DevOps-oriented team with responsbility for the full lifecycle of its services – from development and implementation to deployment, monitoring, operations and continuous improvement. Your work may include: Developing and maintaining backend services in Java, Spring Boot and/or Python Designing scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS or Azure Building REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems Working with Kubernetes and containerized applications CI/CD, automation, monitoring and logging Participating in code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions Skills & Qualifications We’re looking for someone with: At least 5 years of backend development experience Strong hands-on experience with Java Experience working with AWS and/or Azure Experience building customer-facing systems Fluent English communication skills BSc/MSc in Engineering, IT or a related field Good to have: Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda and DynamoDB Experience with CI/CD and/or DevOps practices Previous experience with connected systems, IoT, automotive or telecom The mindset we’re looking for For us, being a great engineer is about more than technical skills.
