About the Role As a Senior Engineer at Link, you are expected to be a tech generalist with a startup mindset. You will be working in a diverse team of people with different backgrounds, ranging from our own Robotics and Machine Learning experts to engineers from partner companies. You will provide technical expertise and vision as well as practical implementation of solutions for a broad range of projects including areas such as defence, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and automotive. About the Role As our Robotics Engineer for Hardware and Control, you'll be the hands-on expert who brings robotic systems to life. You'll integrate, and optimize the hardware and control systems that form the foundation of our robotics solutions, ensuring reliable performance across pharmaceutical, defense/aerospace, and automotive/manufacturing applications. Your work will span from component selection and system integration to real-time control implementation. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our robotic platforms meet the demanding requirements of industrial environments, from precision requirements to operational reliability. Examples of responsibilities include: • Integrating robotic hardware systems including actuators, sensors, embedded controllers, and power systems • Implementing real-time control algorithms for manipulators, mobile platforms, and integrated systems • Employing hardware-software interfaces and drivers for sensors, actuators, and communication protocols You'll collaborate closely with our Robotics and AI experts to create complete robotic systems where hardware, control, and high-level intelligence work seamlessly together. As our Robotics Expert, you will leverage state-of-the-art methods to design and implement practical, deployable robotics solutions that serve multiple industrial sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring our systems can operate reliably in real-world industrial environments, from pharmaceutical facilities to demanding manufacturing floors and challenging outdoors environments such as deep sea. Examples of responsibilities include: • Designing and implementing state-of-the-art solutions for robotic perception, manipulation, and task planning • Implementing automated testing frameworks for continuous validation of robotics algorithms across diverse scenarios • Keeping track of the latest research in Robotics and identify opportunities for practical application You'll collaborate closely with our Robotics and AI Experts and Engineers to integrate solutions into complete robotic systems, ensuring seamless performance across diverse use cases and customer requirements. You will be working in a diverse team of people with different backgrounds, ranging from our own Robotics and Machine Learning experts to engineers from partner companies. You will provide technical expertise and vision as well as practical implementation of solutions for a broad range of projects including areas such as defence, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and automotive. You will be an essential part of Link, actively contributing to our projects from understanding technical feasibility and the necessary methodology, to driving the implementation and ensuring a smooth handover to production.
