About the job As Regional Finance Manager, you will be part of the Kvinna till Kvinna South Caucasus and Eastern Europe (SCEE) regional team and report to the Regional Director. The position is based in Vilnius, Stockholm, or another relevant country in Europe where Kvinna till Kvinna has an office. You will work closely with the regional team and partner organisations distributed across the region and the Finance department in the head office in Stockholm. The role includes frequent travel within Europe and the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe region. The Regional Finance Manager is responsible for supporting sound financial management, compliance and risk mitigation across Kvinna till Kvinna’s regional programmes and partnerships. The role also includes strengthening the financial management capacity of partner organisations operating in complex and crisis-affected contexts. Your tasks will include, but not be limited to: Ensure effective financial management routines, internal controls and payment procedures in line with Kvinna till Kvinna and donor requirements; Process partner payments, maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial documentation and reporting; Conduct financial assessments of partner organisations and review budgets, financial reports and audit documentation; Support grant management processes together with programme, grants and finance colleagues across the region; Coordinate audits, financial reviews and follow-up on compliance requirements; Develop and strengthen financial management systems, risk mitigation measures and anti-corruption practices adapted to complex and crisis-affected contexts; Lead capacity strengthening initiatives for partner organisations through trainings, peer learning and individual support; Contribute to coordination, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of financial management practices across the regional programme. Formal qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Development Cooperation or another relevant field; At least five years of relevant professional experience in grants management, financial management or similar roles within international development cooperation or related sectors; Proven experience supporting and strengthening the financial management capacity of civil society organisations and networks; Experience working in or with the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe region; Excellent written and spoken English and Russian; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; Experience using digital accounting systems and financial management tools; Knowledge and experience of anti-corruption measures and compliance procedures. Meriting qualifications include: Knowledge of other languages spoken in the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe region; Experience working with international donors such as Sida or the European Union; Experience working in crisis-affected or complex environments, including risk analysis, contingency planning and risk management; Experience related to human rights, gender equality and/or peacebuilding programmes. About the role The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation is entering an important phase of organisational and operational development. As part of this development, we are seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to further develop our finance and administration function to meet current and future organisational needs. As Head of Finance & Administration, you will be part of the organisation’s management team and report directly to the Secretary General. You will have overall managerial responsibility for the finance and administration team and work in close collaboration with the programme department, including programme offices across four regions. The role carries overall responsibility for further strengthening and developing processes related to: Financial governance and accountability; Annual budgeting, financial planning and follow-up processes; The intersection between financial and programmatic operations; Strengthening accounting and financial reporting capacity at the head office and programme offices; Development of financial systems, routines and internal controls; Enabling effective and collaborative ways of working; Ensuring compliance with Swedish legislation, donor requirements and internal policies; About you You are a confident and collaborative leader with strong strategic and analytical capacity. You are comfortable leading in change and navigating complex organisational contexts with multiple stakeholders and priorities. You combine strong financial expertise with the ability to build trust, create structure and develop teams and processes. You are solution-oriented, communicative and able to balance operational detail with strategic perspective. Formal qualifications: Several years of senior experience within finance, accounting and financial management Documented management experience with staff and work environment responsibility Strong knowledge of Swedish accounting legislation, annual reporting and audit processes Experience of developing financial systems, routines and internal controls Experience of financial reporting to donors and authorities Relevant academic degree in finance, accounting or equivalent Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English Meritorious: Experience from international NGOs or rights-based organisations Experience of leading a team during organisational change Experience working with geographically distributed teams Experience of complex donor structures Experience of financial risk management and compliance Terms & conditions At Kvinna till Kvinna, you will be part of an international organisation with over 110 colleagues, committed to women’s rights in conflict-affected countries.
