About the team  The Backend area is a vital part of our production, where in the area we perform all outgoing quality control of our products, conducting electrical measurements and optical inspections. We also work with blade and stealth dicing, wafer thinning, and CMP (chemical mechanical planarization). There is a team of 19 people working in the Backend area, out of which four are working with service (three Service Technicians and one Maintenance Engineer).  About the role  As a Service Technician at Silex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our high-tech equipment is operational in production through maintenance, operations, and service tasks, all conducted in cleanroom environments. The equipment you will work with involves electronics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, chemistry, and gases. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues, including area managers, process engineers, and operators.   Each day begins with a handover from the previous shift, after which tasks are planned and divided among the Service Technicians.  There will be a mix of planned and unplanned service activities, and we are continuously working to improve the uptime of our machinery to reduce unplanned tool stops. We want you to participate in, and help drive, continuous improvements in the area.   The working hours for this position will be night shift, Monday night–Friday morning 22:30–07:00. For the first couple of months you will receive training on another shift (day, evening) and then transfer to the night shift. The wet chemistry area supports these requirements using a wide range of equipment, from manually operated wet benches to fully automated chemical processing systems. The equipment utilizes a variety of chemistry and gases. Some of the equipment in this department includes:  Manual and automated wet benches for cleaning and etching  Solvent and acid spray processing tools (automated)  Vacuum ovens for drying and curing (high temperature)  Electroplating systems for metal deposition. System uses pulsing power supplies and robot handling  This is a fast-paced, varied and unique area where the processes differ a lot: wet-etching, lift-off, deposition and vapor techniques are just some of the techniques used to both remove and build material on our chips. The department is staffed by a multidisciplinary team consisting of 10 process engineers, four service technicians, one maintenance engineer and 35 operators.     About the role   As a Service Technician at Silex, you are responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability and stable production processes in our MEMS manufacturing environment. You perform planned preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on wet processing equipment such as wet benches, spray tools, plating systems, and vacuum ovens. Preferably with experience in statistical analysis methods such as Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R, Design of Experiment (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).  Participate in procurement, installation and qualification of new equipment.  We are looking for someone who has:  MSc or PhD in physics, materials science, chemical engineering, electronics, or another related field.  A structured and data-driven approach to process development and optimization.  Familiar with different metrology techniques (e.g. optical measurements, ellipsometry, AFM).  The ability to work independently as well as in team environments.  A strong interest in semiconductor processing and cleanroom manufacturing.  Good communication skills in English; Swedish is a merit.  Previous experience with blade dicing, stealth dicing, wafer grinding, or CMP is highly valued.  At Silex, we are driven by development – both for each person in their own role and in our processes. Om rollen:  Som processoperatör kommer du vara delaktig i flera olika tillverkningssteg med olika utrustningar i renrumsmiljö. Huvudfokus kommer vara på vissa processer och utrustningar som är viktiga att alltid hållas i gång. Fabriken är uppdelad på olika areor som har olika uppgifter där produktionen utgår utifrån givna instruktioner och enligt Silexs kontrollsystem. Arbetsuppgifterna varierar beroende på vilken/vilka areor du arbetar inom men kan exempelvis innebära starta maskiner, kvalitetstestning, mikroskopavsyningar och kemisk bearbetning. Du kommer också få medverka vid, och utföra underhåll av processutrustning. Du kommer alltså få en inblick i hela produktionskedjan! Våra ca 180 processoperatörer arbetar i 5-skift i vår fabrik som rullar dygnet runt alla årets dagar. Arbetstiderna för de olika skiften är lagda enligt nedan och gäller för hela sommaren.
