About the role As our Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and evolution of our client-side software agent - written in Go - responsible for system inventory on Linux and macOS. The agent communicates securely with our PostgreSQL-backed backend via a REST API and plays a crucial role in our product offering. You will collaborate effectively across teams, contribute to planning and problem-solving discussions, and support junior developers through code review and mentorship as needed. This role is expected to grow into a tech lead position, offering the opportunity to guide technical decisions, mentor team members, and play a central role in shaping impactful software architecture and services. Responsibilities You will design, write, and maintain idiomatic, efficient Go code for our Linux/macOS system agent. Furthermore, you will also: Extend functionality related to data collection, system integration, and API communication.  Contribute to architectural decisions and system improvements.  Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.  Refactor legacy components in line with modern software practices. Write robust unit and integration tests. Document code and behavior clearly. Participate actively in code reviews and ensure changes are production-ready. Qualifications Extensive experience with Go (Golang), including concurrency, memory management, and best practices. Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Prospecting: Identify potential new clients in the market and build and nurture relationships with prospects to understand their SAM needs. Solution Demonstrations: Conduct detailed demonstrations of Xensams technology and services and showcase how our solutions can address the unique needs of each client. Partner Collaboration: Identify joint opportunities and deliver comprehensive solutions with partners. Customer Engagement: Proactively assess client needs and maintain satisfaction, and provide SAM expertise. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field. Minimum of 1-2 years experience in corporate account management, including net new technology sales. Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in using CRM and account management software. Proficiency in using prospecting tools like LinkedIN Navigator. Results-oriented with a strong focus on client satisfaction and retention. Knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills in fluent English and Dutch.
