We are now looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team to help us evolve our data platform and our tooling for data ingestion, processing and management. The Data Infrastructure team is a part of the Data Platform area - our division dedicated to building our data, infrastructure and insights platform. How you will make an impact As a Data Engineer in our Data Infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in building a scalable and robust data platform to enable us to leverage a broad range of data sources at the company. You will continue building upon and improving our data platform that runs on the Google Cloud platform, where part of our solution stack includes Airflow for data pipeline orchestration, Snowplow for event collection, BigQuery as data warehouse, and Kubernetes as the underlying infrastructure. What you can expect to do: Collaborate with a talented and diverse team to build and enhance our data platform to enable data collection, processing, access, usability and monitoring. Create architectural guidelines, solutions and best practices for our data pipelines in Airflow/Composer. Provision and manage resources in Google Cloud using Terraform. Manage new and existing data sources into our ELT and reverse ETL pipelines. Strategize optimal technical solutions for data governance, data cataloging and discovery, and data access. Ensure data quality and reliability through implementing standardized monitoring, CI/CD and testing practices. Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. At Epidemic, we are expanding our central Machine Learning Engineering team. We have a hybrid organization where Machine Learning Engineers (MLEs) work in either a central team, or in product teams. Over the past five years, we have built a number of ML-powered applications that are highly appreciated by users. From intelligent search features, such as semantic search and audio-based similarity search, and recommender systems to metadata tagging and music preview systems. We are now looking for a skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our central MLE team. You will report to the Head of Machine Learning and work together with colleagues on a broad range of problems going across the company. This involves the full range, from learning what problems are suitable to solve with ML, getting a deep understanding of those problems, as well as solving the problems and delivering high-quality models and code. We also work with the MLOps team, on evolving the company’s ML platform and we frequently collaborate with MLEs in product teams. Requirements Technical skills: - Proficient in digital design and product development, with an impressive portfolio. - Strong in interaction and visual design, creating appealing user interfaces. - Knowledgeable in user-centered design methodologies. - Experienced in leading product design projects within teams. - Familiarity with content creation and/or sound production is a plus. - Bonus skills: Familiarity with AI tools. Soft skills: - Strong communication and storytelling abilities, with fluency in written and spoken English. - Adaptability and openness to new challenges. - A catalyst for collaboration.
