The Role As a Senior Quality Analyst, you will contribute to building the foundation for a great QA team. This means being involved with game features from their planning through the different stages of implementation. Working as a quality analyst with us is not just about finding and reporting bugs, but collaborating closely with a multitude of different departments involved in the process to produce the best possible player experience. We expect QA team members to be proactive and engage in establishing the testing practices and procedures for areas of the game for which they are responsible. We're seeking someone who is collaborative, detail-oriented, adaptable, and skilled at balancing multiple priorities with care and efficiency. It’s a plus if you’re a gamer and even better if you enjoy the creative process integral to creating a new game and IP. Responsibilities Be an active part of the QA team, where we support each other and grow together Document test plans, QA tasks, and test cases for use by internal and external teams. Help manage the day-to-day tasks of our External FQA teams and facilitate the transfer of information where and when necessary. Review and prioritize bugs and create Jira dashboards for different project teams you will be supporting in this role. Perform hands-on testing and gain advanced knowledge of features and areas that you will have ownership of from a QA perspective. Follow up with thorough regression testing on bugs reported in your areas and investigate issues with complicated reproduction steps. Assist with planning and logistics for internal and external user experience playtests. Provide qualitative feedback, discuss, and engage with stakeholders, and ensure that we focus our efforts on verifying the game quality where it matters the most. Be proactive in building the test pipeline and process for the features you will have QA ownership over. Qualifications Demonstrable experience with testing, 5+ years working with quality control/quality assurance or a similar role. Previous employment in the gaming industry is a big plus. Proficiency in defect tracking tools and planning such as JIRA, Confluence, Testrail, and similar. Excellent communicative and interpersonal skills, capable of summarizing complex subjects to technical and non-technical team representatives. Ability to immediately recognize critical issues or testing deficiencies. Familiar with common development tools such as Perforce and Visual Studio. Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Solid understanding of live game development cycles, and familiarity with game engines and dev tools. We are looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead and grow our Quality Assurance function. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for a team of QA professionals, setting direction, planning activities, and ensuring high standards across our delivery. You will play a key role in coordinating QA efforts internally while also managing and strengthening collaboration with our external partners. The QA Manager at Sharkmob The QA Manager is an experienced role within Sharkmob. As the QA Manager you support your team members, as well as the project leadership by providing the resources, guidance, reports and tools they need to be successful. You will collaborate with outsourced teams to ensure their work aligns with our expectations and quality standards. Responsibilities · Responsible for the QA team and its members; lead, mentor, and develop your direct reports. · Working closely with other managers and stakeholders, as well as the project leadership team, to ensure an efficient way of working. · Supporting and developing a process where quality is integrated, and think about quality in all the steps of the development process. · Plan and ensure timely and effective deliveries of QA goals, including relevant data and status reporting. · Ensure quality analysts are embedded effectively and working collaboratively within all development teams, to ensure quality in all parts of the product. · Create, develop, analyse, and iterate on processes and strategies that ensure efficient & reliable testing plans to accurately reflect the quality of features. · Ensure bug reporting is fit-for-purpose, accurate, quality-driven, and reproducible at scale. · Work with, and coordinate, outsourced partners and resources, including their task assignment, planning, and deliverables, and ensure they live up to our expectations. Requirements At least five years experience in a managerial position. Demonstrable & effective people management & leadership skills - mentoring, motivating, organizing, learning & development, and performance management. Experience working in the games industry as a games quality assurance analyst, ideally in a Managerial or Lead-level position. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. An understanding of discipline-specific vocabulary and pipelines. Demonstrable experience with automated testing in a AAA games QA environment. Bonus points Experienced in testing online or MMO-type games and having an understanding of and being able to recognize the challenges that may present.
