Safety & Quality Director

Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive global safety strategy that prioritizes the well-being of our employees and aligns with the organization's overall business objectives. You will lead safety initiatives, drive a culture of safety excellence and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across our global operations. Key tasks and responsibilities - Develop and implement a global safety strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals and industry best practices. - Provide strategic leadership for global safety initiatives, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability. - Stay abreast of changes in safety legislation and proactively adjust policies and procedures accordingly including risk management and business interruption plans - Identify and mitigate safety risks across global operations, implementing preventive measures and contingency plans. - Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities. - Lead the investigation and analysis of safety incidents, near misses, and accidents. - Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence. - In addition to safety responsibilities, this position will provide leadership to develop and implement a Global Quality program including required ISO certifications. We would prefer if you have - A BS in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or other related field - Extensive proven experience in a senior safety leadership role, preferably with global responsibilities within the Industrial or Textile sector - Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective safety programs, OSHA VPP and start-up experience is a plus - A quality mindset with demonstrated success developing global standard programs, quality certification is a plus - Experience leading cultural change towards a strong safety culture - Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required) You will be reporting into the COO and preferably be located in North Carolina, USA or Stockholm, Sweden. Commercial Lead - Automotive

Syre is now looking for a Commercial Lead who will focus on and take ownership of the Automotive industry. The key goal is to drive commercial partnerships to deliver sizeable offtake agreements and successful growth within the area. Key tasks and responsibilities - Drive and manage the execution of growth in automotive, focusing on large offtake agreements with the largest brands - Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders within target automotive players to successfully drive commercial results - With support from CCO, drive customer dialogues and negotiations from start to finish to deliver sizeable bankable offtake agreements - Lead ongoing development with automotive customers to successfully scale, including: - Understanding of market dynamics, automotive industry trends and concrete customer needs and priorities - Fact-based perspective on key growth enablers with automotive players - Deep understanding of our products and services and how they are differentiated - Identify any needs to further develop our product offering, and align with other departments on development needs - Lead projects with automotive players to enable and drive growth - Lead ongoing collaboration with established automotive customers to ensure we successfully deliver scale-up of volumes, to deliver on key promises in the offtake agreements - With support from CCO and CSO, establish relevant value chain partnerships for Automotive (incl PSF production players and yarn spinning players across regions) We would prefer if you - Have proven experience working with the automotive industry from a global perspective - Have a robust professional network with key players in the automotive industry and an interest to build new business relationships with target players - Are an excellent collaborator and communicator with strong ability to build trust-based relationships - Have experience negotiating strategic contracts, with strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset - Have an impact-oriented mindset with a strong drive to deliver results - Have the ability to travel extensively on a global basis - Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required) You will be reporting into the CCO and preferably be located in Stockholm, Sweden or another future global hub. You will have dual positions to both drive operational excellence as well as lead operations for one of our global hubs. Project Manager Construction

Syre is now looking for a Project Manager who has not only been sitting by their desk, tapping on their keyboard, but one who’s been out on the construction site, where the action actually takes place. As Syre is growing, we want a dedicated person who will be pivotal when building our future plants and making sure that we can realize our vision. Key tasks and responsibilities - Work together with Project responsible projecting and building production sites worldwide - Collaborate with projecting, technical and operational teams to implement and improve construction and production set-up - Capex and OPEX evaluation and follow-up on a continuous basis - Work together with suppliers regarding product supply and technical implementation making sure time plan and costs are in line with Budget We would prefer if you have - A BS within Engineering, Project Management or other related field - A min. 5 years of working experience - The ability to be able to travel extensively, approximately 50% of the time - Experience with projecting/planning site construction/building production, this could include everything from building to direct production line set-up - Hands-on experience on-site, i.e. not only in a consulting (desktop) role - A proven record of leading national- & international projects including time plan and cost follow-up - International experience within production implementing and. building production lines. Production investments are not a must, but a plus - The ability to collaborate with people, both on “welder level” as well as towards owners, board, etc - Fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required) You will be reporting into the Projects & Plant Construction Director and preferably be located in Stockholm, Sweden.
