Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.

Syre is now looking for an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Director. As a pivotal member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a global supply chain strategy that ensures efficiency, resilience, and alignment with Syre's overall business objectives. The idea is for you to develop and implement a global supply chain program while building and eventually leading cross-functional teams to provide day-to-day supply chain management, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of our global supply chain. Key tasks and responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive global supply chain and logistics strategy aligned with the organization's business goals

- Collaborate with senior leadership to define supply chain objectives and key performance indicators

- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials and components

- Optimize inventory levels across global locations to balance cost and service levels

- Oversee Sales & Operations planning, order management and working capital

- Oversee global logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, onsite and offsite

- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and market risks

We would prefer if you have

- A BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other related field

- Extensive proven experience in senior supply chain leadership roles, preferably in a global context - experience in global logistics is a plus

- Demonstrated success in optimizing supply chain processes and driving strategic initiatives

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions

- Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required)

You will be reporting into the COO and preferably be located in Stockholm, Sweden or North Carolina, USA.
