Workshop manager-Logistic Engineering

Our fantastic team, working at Scania’s battery factory in Södertälje, is a major part of making this happen. Just now we are ramping up the production of batteries and cables making it an electrifying time to join us! The Battery team consists of awesome people with different personalities, life experiences, gender identification, ages, ethnicities, and preferences. We are now looking for a workshop manager for the Logistic Engineering who can contribute to our team and our diversity. Work shop manager Logistics engineering Today, production and logistics are spread over three buildings and several different production areas. We manufacture battery packs and modules in two different buildings as well as cabling in the third. This is in both Serial and prototype production. Within material handling there are two business areas with about seven group managers. All of these need the logistic engineering support for their respective businesses. The Logistics management team consists of a number of functions; Production Planning, Business IT, Material Planning, Material Handling and Logistic engineering. Within Logistics Engineering, there are three departments that work to provide the business with methods , departments with different focus areas such as Logistics Development, Back Office engineering and Front Office engineering. Front Office consists of logistics technicians who handle the day-to-day issues that the business needs to deal with in order to deliver materials with 0 accidents and 0 errors. The Back Office enables the business to be ready for new items, new paces, new requirements and planned improvements. Back Office thus focuses more on what lies further in the future and creates working methods, layouts and trainings so that the business and Front Office can have good conditions to operate on a daily basis. Logistics Development is responsible for preparing for upcoming changes in buildings, layouts, processes, equipment, layouts and methods based on changes in products, volumes and changing requirements. Many processes in production and material handling are automatic, and the flows are strongly interconnected. Few things happen or move without signals in and between our IT systems. There is a separate IT Business function supporting the IT functionality. Your team has the expertise in flow dimensioning, layouts, automation, digitization, and good knowledge of system signals. You are available and supportive of production at short notice and, with the help of the operational functions, can set off problems systematically with both short- and long-term solutions. How we want to be! Important to us are responsibility, coordination, and collaboration with other colleagues in logistics but also other functions. It is also important to be able to steer towards goals and deliveries through and with your group. We want to be able to learn from what can be improved and create methods and ways of working that support us going forward. Responsibilities: Coordinate the production of cable harness prototypes for our various test needs, including both VCB and VCA, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Sync deliveries with suppliers and stakeholders for timely deliveries. Support the agile teams with planning rebuilds and deliveries. Act as a liaison between the cable harness design group and other cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication. Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to streamline workflows and enhance team performance. Support the group and group manager by collecting product information for strategic decisions. Arbetsuppgifter Som beredare hos oss arbetar du i nära samarbete med R&D Powertrain, DX produktionsavdelningar såväl som kollegorna inom gruppen. Du kommer att ha ett brett nätverk av kontakter inom hela företaget såväl som med externa leverantörer och samarbetspartners, både nationellt och internationellt. Kontoret ligger i Södertälje, men i tjänsten finns även behov av resor. Rollen som beredare inkluderar att ha en central roll i utvecklingsprocessen från design till tillverkning av nya produkter, samt arbete med att förbättra tillverkningen av dagens produkter. Du kommer att tillhöra ett team med beredare där de olika uppdragen balanseras i gruppen utifrån erfarenhet och intresse. Du kommer att arbeta med höga krav och förväntningar på: Produktens kvalitet. Förmågan att tillverka produkten. Produktens kostnad för tillverkning. Tillförlitligheten i tillverkningsprocessen. Inom Transmission Manufacturing arbetar vi med skärande bearbetning, värmebehandling, shot peening och mätning, Vi arbetar kontinuerligt med nya tillverkningsprocesser när våra strategiska produkter utvecklas, designas, tas i drift och förbättras. Din profil Vi letar efter en resultatdriven person med ett starkt tekniskt intresse. För att lyckas i positionen bör du ha följande bakgrund Högskole- eller civilingenjör med inriktning mot produktionsteknik, farkostteknik, maskinkonstruktion eller inneha motsvarande erfarenhet. Minst två års aktuell erfarenhet från en tidigare position som beredare eller produktutvecklare. God kunskap om Catia V5. Förmåga att analysera komplexa situationer på ett strukturerat sätt. Kreativ och lösningsorienterad. Förmåga och vilja att dela erfarenheter och vägleda kollegor. Då jobbet omfattar internationella kontakter är engelska och svenska på professionell nivå ett krav.
