Production Director

As a Production Director at Embark you will be a dedicated game maker, executing on the games roadmap and goals. Systems Engineer (Junior & Senior)

As a Junior Systems Engineer at Embark you will be a game maker, enabling the game teams in creating new ways to enhance experiences in interactive entertainment. The IT team that you will be a part of works as an innovative backbone for all the teams and projects within the studio, building a solid platform of IT and infrastructure to enable reliable and smooth workflows for all parts of our business. Today the team consists of four members supporting all parts from procurement, deployment, support and lifecycle management of all IT hardware, software, servers and networking. Fullstack Engineer - Tools&CI

As a Fullstack Engineer at Embark you will be an enabler and force multiplier, focusing on enabling both the games themselves as well as our technical platforms. Our Continuous Delivery team is instrumental in this process by building tools and infrastructure for our game teams. We need a Fullstack Engineer in this field to help us build efficient and beautiful user experiences and interfaces for our game developers. You’ll be part of a small and passionate team with an end-to-end mission that is easy to describe, but harder to achieve: Maintain and improve our time-to-market. You’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the game team and studio to understand and eliminate friction in the creative processes. User Experience Researcher - Games

We are looking for a talented and passionate User Experience (UX) Researcher to join us at Embark. In this role you will work on design, execute research, explore the behavior and motivations of our players to gather insights that inform the design and product decisions. As a User Experience Researcher you will be embedded into game projects and work alongside designers, product managers, and engineers to continuously understand the user experience and to identify and plan impactful user studies to improve the quality of the product. You will be a part of the commercial team where you’ll collaborate with researchers, data scientists, business analysts, and other insights stakeholders to tackle cross-functional insights requests to stakeholders on all levels of the organization. Example of responsibilities - Conduct user research for Embark products using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including playtesting, usability evaluations, survey studies, player interviews, and online experiments (A/B testing). - Effectively communicate and share research findings to the product and design teams through written reports and verbal presentations. - Leverage product and domain knowledge to deliver actionable recommendations and user-centric solutions. - Identify root causes behind player needs and behaviors, in order to deliver actionable, reliable, and relevant recommendations for improving the product. Engagement Designer - Games

We are looking for a talented and skilled Engagement Designer to join one of our game teams here at Embark. We are looking for a person who can add their knowledge, skills and experience within Meta Game, Progression, Engagement and Retention design, to a team of around 100 game makers that are in the production phase of development of a Free-to-play PvP Action Game. As an Engagement Designer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, balancing and maintaining meta game features, including various types of player progression and player competition, that add to the player experience, and give players meaningful goals and activities to strive for over time. You will be working closely together with the monetization team, as well as Game Production and Product Direction, in analyzing the performance of meta game features, to ensure that we are able to engage and retain consistently and over a long time, as part of the game’s Live Service ambitions. You will also work closely together with Creative and Gameplay Direction. And you will be working cross collaboratively with Core Gameplay Designers as well as UI and UX Developers, to ensure that engagement features are presented as an attractive package that fits well with the rest of the game. Example of responsibilities Design and collaborate on metagame and progression systems and features for long term player retention and engagement Articulating, pitching and presenting engagement features and systems for the project to adopt and develop Monitor trends on engagement systems in order to identify best practices, achieve optimal results and innovation Be a stakeholder in the frontend, to make sure that retention and engagement features are part of a cohesive experience design Analyze the impact of changes in the game and identify opportunities that will have a positive impact on engagement in development and as part of the Live Service - Track the performance of engagement and retention features, and suggest alterations and improvements in live context, to achieve healthy performance indicators - Continuously balance and optimize retention and engagement features for achieving the best player enjoyment and engagement.
