How you´ll make an impact Coordinate electrical design activities for upgrade tenders and service offerings, ensuring compliance with established processes. Lead and support tender work for electrical design scopes within service projects. Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and proposing enhancements to offerings and processes. Translate technical and customer requirements into validated and cost-effective design solutions. Collaborate closely with engineering teams, project managers, suppliers, local Hitachi Energy offices, and customers. Support fault tracing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for electrical installations in the installed base. Contribute to the design and implementation of upgrades and updates for control systems, relay protection, and auxiliary power systems. Your background University degree in Electrical Engineering, with experience in a similar role within the Power Systems industry. Experience working with products and/or service business operations is considered an advantage. Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Electrical Design, Relay Protection Configuration & Testing, Auxiliary Power Calculations, Commissioning, or E3 CAD. Analytical skills with a quality-focused mindset and the ability to develop and implement effective technical solutions. Service-minded professional with a strong commitment to quality and on-time delivery, combined with ownership of planning and organizational skills. The opportunity The HVDC System Design department is now searching for a highly motivated Simulation Model Engineer to join the team. As a Simulation model Engineer, you will have the chance to dive into the fascinating world of simulation, working on real-life applications that have a significant impact on the global transition to renewable energy resources through HVDC transmission connections. Joining our team means working alongside a group of highly skilled and passionate professionals from across the globe. How you’ll make an impact Develop simulation models in different tools used for power system studies. Develop tools to allow virtual representation of real-time control and protection system. Produce technical documentation and reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand different requirements and design solutions. Engage with customers throughout the process, from specification to final acceptance. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to simulation models and tools. Your Background Master's or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related field. 5+ years experience with control/signal theory, dynamic modelling, or power system tools (for example PSCAD, PSSE, PowerFactory, PSLF, EMTP-RV, Hypersim, Dymola, PSS® NETOMAC, etc.) is required. Knowledge and/or interest in programming (C++, C#, Fortran, Python, MATLAB, Modelica). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work and solve problems independently and take own initiatives. Fluency in English is required, as you will be part of a company that operates on a global scale.
