Som OT / SCADA Engineer arbetar du med design, konfigurering och driftsättning av styr- och övervakningssystem i HVDC-anläggningar och testmiljöer. We are embarking on a transformation journey to shift from delivering projects only to building modern, well‑defined product‑based systems. In this role, you’ll help create cutting‑edge solutions for platforms that integrate Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) at HVDC. These platforms are the foundation our global project teams rely on. Your main focus will be securing the integration of IT with the OT domain, where Human–Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Gateway Stations (GWS), and communication protocols reside. With your expertise in security principles and your understanding of threats at the edge, you will help project teams develop and integrate security solutions that can serve as reusable frameworks while still meeting project‑specific requirements. How you’ll make an impact Secure IT/OT platforms by implementing robust controls that protect HMI, GWS, and communication layers while ensuring safe and reliable operation. Develop reusable security frameworks that standardize solutions across projects while supporting project‑specific needs. Strengthen edge and infrastructure security by identifying threats and applying protective measures in distributed and industrial environments. Produce clear documentation and support testing so project teams can deploy secure and validated components. Configure and harden industrial communication protocols by applying best security practices e.g., authentication and authorization. Build and validate secure baselines, including hardened images, firewall rules, and configuration templates for IT/OT components. Your background Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Skilled in testing code and creating test cases for developed components. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, IEC based protocols, SNMP, TCP/UDP, VLANs, and IPsec. Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, gateway devices, and other core OT components Hands on experience with security tools such as Firewalls, network monitoring tools, vulnerability scanners, packet analyzers, and endpoint hardening utilities. Understanding of security frameworks like ISO 27001, and related cybersecurity standards is a plus. Strong documentation and communication skills to support cross functional engineering teams.
