EMC Engineer - Battery

For our client in Gothenburg we are looking for a Consultant that will work with the Development Of X1 Design Of Smartcell - EMC Attributes. Background A small cross-functional project team is working on a novel battery control architecture. During this concept development process, several prototypes and concept batteries have been built and tested, currently a CMA based demo vehicle is built (to be completed later this year). The focus of this assignment is on this latest design. During the Advanced Engineering phase of this project, EMC has been identified as one of the major risks of the concept; very limited investigations in that field have been done so far. Based on hardware of earlier design iterations and intended designs for the next demo vehicle, deeper investigations about Electro-Magnetic Compatibility are to be conducted. Scope of Work Secure production intent design of SmartCell battery. Attribute EMC Scan EMC requirements and extract relevant ones affecting SmartCell. Break down requirement to different levels and define test procedure. Cluster Battery pack Vehicle Design review of the concept and estimate EMC performance based on engineering judgement but also based on relevant simulations. Simulation and optimization of switching times in balance with energy efficiency. Book tests in rig on available hardware (cluster / battery) and arrange the tests. Secure that all relevant software and hardware is developed to be able to perform tests. Analysis of test results.
