Purchasing Manager We have a strong vision for how we want to interact with markets, partners, suppliers and society and we seek to build a best-in-class procurement capability. We are strengthening our procurement team with a Purchasing Manager to develop and drive our operational purchasing and expediting process and capability. In the role as Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for leading Purchasers & Expeditors, ensuring a high quality in ordering is maintained and lead the business in formalizing its needs into purchase orders. This role will also play a critical part in the development and improvement of our digital purchase-to-pay process environment. You will build the strong relationships needed with internal stakeholders and external partners and suppliers to successfully maintain the integrity of our P2P flow and digital purchasing systems. Responsibilities: - Lead and develop a team of Purchasers & Expeditors to establish a best in class Purchasing Function, currently made up of 3 highly qualified team members. - Be part of developing processes and systems for the overall Procurement need of H2GS. - Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, partners and suppliers to streamline P2P flow. - Lead the team to ensure supplier contracts and business needs are translated into purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures. - Development of purchasing standards, processes and procedures. - Educate and support the business in proper purchasing behaviours and process adherence. - Provide tactical and operational sourcing and supplier selection in line with H2GS Procurement Framework and sourcing process. - Identify risks and opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency. Qualifications: - Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related fields. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at various organizational levels. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing environments. - A can-do attitude and curiosity for finding the best processes and solutions. - Previous experience of leading a purchasing team. - Solid digital purchasing experience and P2P process understanding. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. - Experience in working in manufacturing, the steel industry or other industrial environments is a plus. Mechanical Engineer - Cold Mill As a Mechanical Engineer, you will belong to the corporate Technical team which supports the company’s different projects and installations in all phases of their lives; from feasibility, through design and engineering, to project execution and operations, maintenance and asset management. The Technology team is responsible for process technology to make sure processes will work, being cost efficient and sustainable. Currently, the team is fully focused on driving and supporting the progress of the Boden project. We are in an exciting phase of the project, going from basic to detailed engineering. You will have an important role in contributing to the design, development and implementation of the mechanical equipment, as well as collaborating with various teams to ensure the functionality, reliability, and sustainability of mechanical components. We are navigating through numerous challenges, and your contributions will directly shape the way the installations are working and delivering value to the customer. Long-term, the role will be based in Boden, Sweden. Responsibilities: - Conduct reviews, verifications and provide technical support of equipment suppliers’ engineering solutions (focusing on safety, process, installation and product), making sure we keep high design standards. - Leading and/or participating in work groups for cross-functional design challenges. - Provide expert advice for construction and site support activities as necessary for equipment installation, (site acceptance) testing and commissioning. - Design and implement maintenance strategies for installations. - Leading and/or participating in improvement projects on installations after commissioning. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 5-7 years' hands-on experience in handling conceptual basic and detail engineering roles, including a profound grasp of mechanical principles and design methodologies, materials science, hydraulics and pneumatics, preferably in a responsible position in reputable engineering firms or in large-scale plant operations. - A tangible understanding of the construction and operation aspects of large-scale industrial projects (green and brown field plants in steel, mining, chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper, power, oil & gas or similar). - Knowledge of engineering design processes and contractual obligations, preferably from having experience in the management of EPCM contractors. - Experience in working within the steel industry, preferably in the Hotstrip Mill or Cold Mill, is a highly meritorious but not a requirement. - Strong problem-solving skills, solution-focused and creative thinking. - Self-driven, positive and able to take initiative, drive topics and connect to colleagues and external resources. Sustainability Specialist As our Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our sustainability reporting and expanding the team's sustainability expertise. The current team has a strong background in climate and environment and we are looking for someone who can add expertise in the social aspects of sustainability, beyond sustainability reporting, to better support the organization. Initially, you will be responsible for ensuring that our stakeholders have access to timely, reliable and credible sustainability data and will be involved in developing our ways of working to streamline data processing. A key activity will be to prepare for CRSD compliance. As a Sustainability Specialist, you will also participate in initiatives and projects initiated by the Sustainability team to drive H2 Green Steel's sustainability agenda and deliver on our promises, as well as providing guidance and expertise to other teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a company with no legacy; where you will have a significant influence in defining ways of working, establishing guidelines, providing internal training and establishing effective reporting procedures. You will report to our Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer but will work closely with our Sustainability team. You will engage cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure sustainability is integrated into all key processes. Responsibilities: - Set up, manage, and develop the internal sustainability (ESG) reporting structures and processes, and support preparations of the annual sustainability statement. - Participate in selected and prioritized sustainability related projects, for instance related to sustainable sourcing and supply chain management. - Support the organization with expertise and guidance within sustainability. - Managing and developing H2GS sustainability reporting software solutions. - Compile data, analysis and reports for business insights and decision-making support to stakeholders such as management team, board of directors and investors. - Monitoring reporting trends and best practice procedures. - Set up relevant employee trainings and educational programs. The H2GS Project consists of: - 760 MW H2 production facility consisting of several types of hydrogen production technologies - 2.1MM MT DRI Production Facility - 2.5MM MT Steelmaking and CSP Facility - Various Cold Finishing Facilities - Plant Power Distribution Grid - Plant Infrastructure and Water Systems Responsibilities: - Perform Risk and Opportunities assessment (identification, Qualitative Risk Analysis, Quantitative Risk Analysis) - Develop Risk management controls and mitigation strategies. - Develop and implement risk response strategies - Develop and maintain Methods and tools. - Drive our EPCM services contractor in proactively manage R&O for their area of control Qualifications: - Fully conversant with the terms and can apply Risk and Opportunities practices contained in AACE and PMI standard level practices. Galvanizing Line Manager As the Galvanizing line manager your primary role would involve overseeing and managing the operations of the galvanizing line. The galvanizing process involves coating steel or iron with a layer of zinc to enhance its corrosion resistance and durability. Your responsibilities would include supervising a team of operators and technicians, ensuring that the galvanizing line operates efficiently and meets production targets. This involves coordinating the various stages of the galvanizing process, from surface preparation to the application of the zinc coating and subsequent quality control measures. Quality assurance would be a key aspect of your role, as you would be responsible for implementing and maintaining strict quality standards throughout the galvanizing process. This includes monitoring the adherence to specifications, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues that may impact the quality of the final product. Responsibilities: - Build, establish and develop a robust safety culture across the organization. Process engineer As process engineer at H2 Green steel you play a crucial role in optimizing and overseeing various stages of steel production to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. You as process engineer collaborate with various departments within the steel mill, such as metallurgy, maintenance, and operations, to streamline production workflows. We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in driving large, innovative, and challenging automation projects. Your proven track record should demonstrate the successful implementation of advanced automation systems in relevant industries. Responsibilities: - Responsible for server computers, setup modeling and reference distribution system, data management systems, communication systems and other control equipment. - Work directly with all maintenance and operations personnel in a fast-paced environment to help develop a safety focused and productive team. - Educate others in the electrical department on the function and maintenance of the automation systems. - Support plant operations and work with the quality/IT departments to help attain production goals. - Support technicians in other areas to maintain a reliable automation system plant-wide. - Manage the design, development, implementation, and procurement of hardware and/or software for automation improvement projects and provide support for other disciplines’ projects. Metallurgy manager As metallurgy manager, you are in charge of the teams growth, expansion and improvement. You report directly to the Head of steel mill and are a member of its management team. Metallurgical development provides technical assistance to the manufacturing organisation while also pursuing mission-driven development with an emphasis on quality, the environment, and economics. Priority initiatives include process control approaches and manufacturing procedures for state of the art steel production. Responsibilities: - Maintain excellence in safety, health, and environmental practices. - Build up your team of engineers, manage and develop the team. - Work with operations managers on strategies and technology development. - Drive a culture of continuous improvement both in technology and safety. - Responsible for managing the team to disposition and release products of different production units. Qualifications: - Degree in Metallurgy or related field with experience in carbon steels, micro alloys, HSLA, UHSS, electrical steels. - Preference given to startup or mini mill/EAF experience. - Experience in ISO, VDA, IATF and other certifications. - In-depth knowledge understanding of industry standards such as ISO, DIN, JIS etc. - In-depth knowledge of steel making and process plants, EAF thru galvanizing. - Support sales in order entry, customer claims and customer onboarding. - In-depth knowledge of mechanical and chemical testing. - Experience in product development in an production environment.
