The Technology team is responsible for process technology to make sure processes will work, being cost efficient and sustainable. Currently, the team is fully focused on driving and supporting the progress of the Boden project. We are in an exciting phase of the project, going from basic to detailed engineering. You will have an important role in contributing to the design, development and implementation of the mechanical equipment in Steel Making Plant, as well as collaborating with various teams to ensure the functionality, reliability, and sustainability of mechanical components. We are navigating through numerous challenges, and your contributions will directly shape the way the installations are working and delivering value to the customer. Long-term, the role will be based in Boden, Sweden. Responsibilities: Work with CAD, NavisWorks software to review mechanical designs and specifications for equipment such as EAF, LMF, RH, CSP, cranes and material handling systems. Select appropriate machinery, tools and equipment needed for the steel plant. Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals to ensure they meet project specifications. Oversee the installation of mechanical equipment and systems. Manage timelines, budgets and resources for mechanical engineering aspects of the project. Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines (electrical, automation, process and civil etc.) for proper installation and integrated project delivery. Conduct tests and inspections during commissioning to ensure equipment functions correctly. Develop maintenance schedules and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 10 years’ of experience working on large-scale industrial projects, preferably in a Senior/Lead Engineering role in project erection and commissioning (with a profound grasp of mechanical principles and design methodologies, and a tangible understanding of the construction and operation aspects of large-scale Steel Making Plant). Experienced in the management of EPCm contractors and knowledge of engineering design processes and contractual obligations. Ability to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs of Steel Making Plant for critical mechanical equipment such as Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle heating Furnace, RH Degasser, Casting Steel Plant, conveyors, cranes and hydraulic systems. Hands-on experience of steel making processes will be an added advantage. Strong problem-solving skills, solution-focused and creative thinking. The role is a part of our passionate Revolt Ett team based in Skellefteå. This process aims to separate valuable metals for reuse in battery production. The construction of Europe's largest recycling facility for batteries in Skellefteå is ongoing and will start its production process to separate valuable metals for reuse in battery production during 2023. The goal is to source 50% of the raw materials needed for cell production from recycling by 2030 and therefore more recycling facilities are planned at the site. So, forget about everything you thought you knew about working in the industry, this is going to be completely different! About the job As Process Engineer, you will have deep knowledge of equipment handling, operations planning, process control, operators' training and supervision, etc. You have experience in the field and have been driving large, innovative and challenging improvement projects in the areas of yield, cost, quality, and efficiency. Specific Skills/Abilities Hands-on experience with process design, implementation, and process optimization Experience in a fast-growing environment, ideally in metal, recycling, mineral or hydrometallurgy processing. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the manufacturing and chemical process industry. Good problem-solving skills, understanding the importance of keeping set schedules and production goals. Experience with risk assessments, gap assessments, change controls.
