Process Engineer ARP As a Process Engineer in the Acid Regeneration Plant (ARP) you will be responsible for optimizing and overseeing technical processes across various stages of the ARP to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. Process engineer ARP is a role within the cold mill section of the steel mill production. Responsibilities: Continue to build the process engineering for the ARP together with the head of cold mill Support the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs. Work with the production manager in developing training programs to support employee integrity, competence and to ensure an effective Quality Management System. Process Engineer in Hydrogen Operations is responsible for optimizing and managing hydrogen production processes, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, quality, and safety. This role is pivotal in ensuring that hydrogen production aligns with company standards and environmental regulations while meeting operational targets. Key responsibilities and tasks (not limited to) Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and other departments to streamline production workflows, ensuring efficient and effective processes. Oversee equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and maximize production output. Actively contribute to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) programs by adhering to established standards and promoting a culture of safety within the department. Work closely with the Production Manager to design and implement training programs that enhance employee skills, ensure competence, and support a robust Quality Management System. Monitor departmental organization, facilitating change management as needed to maintain alignment with company goals and operational standards. Process Engineer - Hot Mill As a Process Engineer, you will belong to the corporate Technical team which supports the company’s different projects and installations in all phases of their lives; from feasibility, through design and engineering, to project execution and operations, maintenance and asset management. The Technology team is responsible for process technology to make sure processes will work, being cost efficient and sustainable. Currently, the team is fully focused on driving and supporting the progress of the Boden project. We are in an exciting phase of the project, going from basic to detailed engineering. You will have an important role in contributing to the design, development, and implementation of the hot millprocesses, as well as collaborating with various teams to ensure the functionality, reliability, and sustainability of these processes. Responsibilities: Conduct reviews, verifications and provide technical support of equipment suppliers’ engineering solutions (focusing on safety, process, installation and product), making sure we keep high design standards. Leading and/or participating in work groups for cross-functional design challenges. Provide expert advice for construction and site support activities as necessary for equipment installation, (site acceptance) testing and commissioning. Design and implement maintenance strategies for installations. Leading and/or participating in improvement projects on installations after commissioning. Participate in the integration test, leading process model and its interface Qualifications: Engineering Degree (min BEng/BSc) in a relevant discipline, ideally in Metallurgy/Process Engineering. Solid experience working in the steel industry on hot rolling processes. 7+ years of general process engineer experience or 5+ years of steel plant specific engineering experience. Experience working during the construction or commissioning phase of large-scale industrial projects in the steel industry. Experienced in the management of EPCM contractors and knowledge of engineering design processes and contractural obligations. Strong problem-solving skills, solution-focused and creative thinking. Self-driven, positive and able to take initiative, drive topics and connect to colleagues and external resources.
