The MACH Control & Protection Platform R&D department is a part of HVDC, Hitachi Energy and is responsible for the development of state-of-the-art control system platform for HVDC and FACTS applications. The MACH C&P department in Ludvika has around 70 employees, focusing mainly on Hardware and Software design working in close collaboration with the global MACH C&P organization. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used, among other things, to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Your responsibilities You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of valve electronics products which constitute the hearth of a HVDC – High Voltage Direct Current system. The work requires deep understanding of analog and/or power electronics both theoretical as well as practical tasks. Requirement management, development of design specifications and documentation are part of the work tasks as well. You will have the responsibility to create robust designs within the cost and time limits with a product lifecycle management perspective. We work in a modern environment where both rapid prototyping and productification takes place. To our help we have tools and labs for the complete electronic hardware development cycle, from early prototype testing to final system verification. You have 8+ years experience on developing analog/power electronics hardware and 5+ years of experience with industry standard schematic capture and PCB layout tools You have proven experience on discrete analog electronics design, e.g. transistor level design of analog front end/output stages, amplifiers, comparators, converters and gate drivers; experience on simulation and measurement techniques with proven experience in making correlation between the theoretical and practical domains; theoretical knowledge and practical experience on EMI, EMC, grounding and low noise analog electronics design on board level. Proficiency in board bring-up and debugging skills; Experience with lab equipment and test setups for analog signal measurements; Experience on product/system verification and environmental testing. Proven understanding and real-world application of DFx (DFM, DFA and DFT); Practical knowledge in manufacturing of PCBs and PCBAs; Experience on engineering best practices related to analog/power electronics design, test, and integration. Knowledge of electronic hardware development life cycle and obsolescence management; Experience on working with multi-functional hardware, software, and system architecture teams as well as you have the ability to prepare well organized documentation for designs, verification/production tests and manufacturing. Support Insurance Risk Management in producing damage reports and ensure accurate handling of export control matters, considering restrictions, destination laws, countries, customers, and products. Your background: 5-10 years experience of contract management within the fields of power generation, substations, converter stations, grid integration, transmission or similar industrial plant. Experience in processing, managing and administrating varying sizes, types and complexity of contractual agreements during the execution and closing stages of projects lifecycle. Previous experience in the power transmission or grid projects is highly desirable. Experience in project's change management, claim management and contract-related legal issues and the possible effects in the relevant areas of responsibility regarding proposal stage and/or project execution. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or Law. Ability to read, write, speak and negotiate in English. Additional languages are a plus. Senior Logistics Developer

The Ludvika Power Transformers factory is on an exciting journey to significantly increase its production capacity over the coming 3 years, with a major extension of the factory. Task Force Lead to HVDC

We are looking to strengthen our ability to handle business critical issues by hiring a Task Force Lead with responsibility to lead critical mitigation actions (containment) and investigations for HVDCs global projects. You will be responsible to manage unforeseen incidents, often triggered by quality related shortcomings, with high business, and thus financial, impact. The incidents often need to be solved within a short timeframe, managing many stakeholders such as the customer, suppliers and HVDC senior management. During, or latest after, the performed containments actions necessary investigations shall be planned and executed, to ensure lessons learned are implemented. The investigations are defined by quality issues that have a huge business impact, that are time critical and have high customer attention. These investigations are often done using the 8D methodology. The containment and correction actions require extensive project management skills with high level stakeholder management and can last for 6-12 month and involve a team of 10-20 persons. The role as Task Force Lead will give you a comprehensive view of the organization as well as a large network in the company. Your responsibilities Take an active personal role in sales to reach the given yearly sales targets for Grid Automation Sweden Contribute to the overall sales activities on the Swedish market within Grid Automations Segment Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensure knowhow sharing and cross-collaboration Monitoring customer and market trends to develop effective marketing activities Develop business relationship Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and your knowledge of customer needs Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions Perform risk analysis and determine right sales price Follow up sales opportunities Collaboration with relevant internal parties The position involves travel within Sweden Your background You hold a technical and/or business degree in relevant area, preferably combined with some years’ experience with customers in the Automation Systems market Sales experience is meritorious Experience in sales planning, forecasting and budgeting Experience in business development is meritorious On a personal level, you are a self-motivated and reliable team player with an independent and result oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills You are structured, persistent and well-organized in your way of working You are ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken Excellent communication, sales, and presentation skills.
