You will be part of the Hitachi Energy HVDC C&C Installation Department, which is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for our installed base of HVDC Valves worldwide. The department also supports engineering and development teams with feedback from the field to continuously improve our products and solutions. As HVDC Valve Maintenance Engineer you must be willing to travel far, frequently and on short notice. You also must be a European citizen. How you will make an impact Your main mission will be to perform maintenance and service activities on HVDC Valves and Valve Cooling systems in high voltage global projects Conduct troubleshooting and fault investigations on HVDC Valves and associated systems Execute mechanical replacements and repairs of valve components and cooling system equipment Perform testing and verification of repaired or replaced equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with standards Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders regarding maintenance and operational issues Contribute to planning and preparation of maintenance activities and ensure efficient execution in accordance with safety and quality requirements Coordinate with engineering office to assure correct documentation is used during maintenance and provide feedback for as-built documentation You will be living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business Your background You have a technical education, preferably with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. The opportunity We are seeking a Project Quality Manager for our HVDC project business. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and monitoring all quality work related to the project. Analyze and consider quality demands of the contract and align them to HVDC’s (High Voltage Direct Current) quality management system. Support and guide the project core team in all quality related issues in the project to support project objective achievement in terms of quality, supplier & subcontractor quality, and customer satisfaction.
