What you will do

Combustion system control group is responsible for developing combustion control strategies and embedded SW for heavy duty combustion engines for the complete Volvo Group.
We work in close cooperation with other SW development teams at Volvo GTT, contributing also to onboard diagnostics, after-treatment and electro-mobility functionality.
We have many interesting challenges in front of us to develop control strategies and embedded SW solutions to drastically lower the emissions and fuel consumption from our future combustion engines. New functionality is needed to support the transfer from diesel engines to fossil free fuel for example hydrogen and biodiesel.
We work according to agile principles with autonomous scrum teams, taking full responsibility for their deliverables. The teams work with development of system solutions, software design, implementation and verification of complete functions. Verification is performed in SIL, HIL as well as on engine or in vehicles. We are responsible for the entire development chain from early project phases to maintenance.

Who are you?

You have a master’s degree mechatronics area or related, and previous experience from embedded software development in the automotive industry with great attitude and a willingness to learn. You are innovative and creative and like to share knowledge with colleagues. Experience from H2-ICE development is meriting.
