The Test Cell Service & System Testing group is now searching for a new member to join the team. Powertrain Engineering Laboratory is a complete test laboratory with test capability for engine, transmission, driveline, acoustic, and system testing. The 20.000-square meter laboratory also includes engine, transmission, and technical workshops along with areas for calibration and service of test equipment and facility process maintenance. Together with a high focus on effectiveness and future investments we can provide market competitive testing support for Powertrain Engineering product projects. Powertrain engineering makes you part of a group working for the development of new methods that meet environmental challenges regarding the complexity of the systems.


What you will do

Initially the position will be characterized with a more hands-on work and eventually lead to a more consultant and supportive role where you will be able to contribute to the strategic development of service routines and investments for new test and calibration equipment. As Test Cell Service Engineer your responsibilities are the group’s delivery regarding fault tracing, service, and calibration of rig-related measurement equipment. You are responsible for evaluation of the test cell correlation and take actions if needed to adjust the measurement equipment. You will plan and manage the daily work in consultation with colleagues and clients/lab support functions. You will also lead the work of the hired service contractors and manage the purchasing and monitoring of maintenance services and spare parts.
The work consists partly of service, calibration, and correlation of the measurement equipment within the engine, system, and transmission laboratory according to established routines. You will participate in technical development work and investment projects within our responsible areas. The group has a very interesting future in supporting the existing laboratory and in the future STL (sustainably technology laboratory) that are in the finishing stages of building.

Desired qualifications:
* University degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Marine Engineering and/or extensive relevant work experience within the field.
* Understanding of internal combustion engines.
* Computer and LAN knowledge.
* Experience and knowledge of measurement set-ups and evaluation of measured results.
* Mechatronic/Electronic knowledge.
* Experience in electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/measurement systems.
* Knowledge in ISO17025.
* Fluent in Swedish and English is a must.

It’s a merit if you have previous experience from similar work.
