The role 
We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Schedule & Inventory Analyst to strengthen our Free TV team at Viaplay Group. In this role, you will play a central role in analyzing the schedules and commercial inventory of our Swedish free TV channels (TV3/TV6/TV8/TV10 & partnership channel History). You will actively support our scheduling team by providing analysis and insights to shape the overall schedule. At the same time, you will have a specific responsibility for providing and managing relevant estimates for our sales and planning systems.

The position is primarily focused on numerical analysis and involves use of historical data as well as knowledge of upcoming TV schedules. The role is part of the Nordic estimation team and reports to the Head of Business Tech.

Responsibilities:

- Estimation and administration of viewership for our programs and commercial breaks.

- Active collaboration with the scheduling team to ensure that schedule decisions are based on thoughtful and data-driven insights.

- Exchange insights and knowledge within the Nordic estimation team.

- Assist with analysis related to TV viewing and its impact on schedule decisions.

- Monitor and analyze competitors' TV schedules to identify opportunities and challenges.

- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed, especially in connection with specific events or changes in viewing behaviors.

What we’re looking for 
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following: 

- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with numbers and trends.

- Data management skills: Experience in handling datasets and using relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or statistical software) to organize, manipulate, and extract insights from data efficiently.

- Attention to detail: Ability to meticulously monitor and track commercial inventory, ensuring accurate estimations and allocations to maximize advertising revenue while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

- Relevant education in media, communication, or a related field.

It’s a bonus if you have: 

- Knowledge of TV industry metrics: Familiarity with industry-standard metrics and measurements used in TV broadcasting.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, articulate insights derived from data analysis, and contribute to informed decision-making processes regarding scheduling and inventory management.

- A can-do attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work humbly with others.

- If you master the Swedish language
