Avantor is currently looking for a hands-on Research Technician Chemistry to join the team in Mölndal, Gothenburg. This Research Technician supports scientists active within Early Chemistry Development and has a diverse package of responsibilities, such as checking lab equipment, supporting in large scale chemical production and much more. The team This research Technician Chemistry is part of a team that counts 50-60 associates in total, divided in 3 different groups. The team belongs to our department Lab & Product Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry. What we’re looking for Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or related Experience: Lab experience is required, this can also be from internships Strong knowledge of MS Office; any other knowledge/interest related to data management or programming is an advantage Strong communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus Who you are Social, easy going and service minded Hands-on, hardworking and motivated Attention to detail, organized and analytical How you will thrive and create an impact Prepare chemicals for small scale production Support the customer and Scientists in upscaling the production level of chemicals Conduct quality check of instruments and maintain lab equipment, making sure everything is up and running Contribute to the commissioning of equipment as part of a formal project team to ensure operational suitability Support the order of materials and consumables and follow-up on deliveries Maintain the lab in order to keep a high-quality standard and to maintain safety Support the chemistry team and Lab Technicians with diverse tasks, depending on needs Support visits of external suppliers, training and demo’s of products and equipment Secure safe operating procedures for handling of highly toxic or hazardous materials LI-EUR
