UI/UX Designer - Games

As a UI/UX Designer you will be working on one of our Game Projects together with other designers, artists and engineers. The role will require to take on many different kinds of tasks with a tremendous amount of influence over our end-user experience. You're experienced in user-centered design and have a profound understanding of effective system-oriented design. You've been part of shipping games on platforms such as PC, console or mobile and have a particular interest in live service free-to-play games. You love playing and analyzing games, breaking the design down and understanding the pros and cons of different design choices. You are effective at communicating and collaborating with peers, making sure everyone feels like they can contribute to the design. Game Designer

We are looking for a talented Game Designer to join one of the game teams here at Embark, a team that is currently numbering around ~100 developers. As a Game Designer at Embark, you will be responsible for detailed design work on a project, writing, iterating and implementing designs for features and mechanics, delivering high quality, balanced and scalable systems and player experiences for a 3D PvP Action Game, with large Live Service ambitions. You will collaborate closely with the Design Director and other designers of the project, in refining concepts and ideas into tangible designs, prototypes and features, as well as Production leadership helping in articulating and establishing estimates, project scope and timelines. You will also own and spearhead game features directly, and work hands-on in cross disciplinary teams while implementing Gameplay Features, together with Animators, Coders and other design disciplines. Examples of responsibilities: - Design, establish and hone emergent gameplay systems, including destruction and physics, as well as elemental gameplay - Design, implementation, tweaking and balancing of weapons and character abilities - PvP Game Mode design and implementation - Game Camera, Character movement and Controls design It would be awesome if you have some of these: - 3+ years of experience designing and making games and a proven track record with shipped games. - A good grasp of AAA PvP gameplay and systems design, including player psychology, UX design and gameplay mechanics and dynamics. - Proficiency with the Unreal Engine and experience with Blueprints and scripting. - A creative and curious mind. - A good knowledge and familiarity with the various game maker disciplines, coding, animation, game physics, 3D Art, etc. - A great creative collaborator in cross disciplinary groups - Professional English communication skills. Product Owner

Hacksaw Studios is a premium developer of slots, scratchcards and instant win games to the online gaming industry. Our games can be played both in social gaming and real money modes. The games we build are played by millions of people every month from all over the world. We are currently looking to expand our team with a Product Owner who will assure the quality of the creative and visual aspects in our game production from start to end. You will be part of our game development team and work in a tight knit team involving many roles, including artists, front-end developers and back-end developers. We have multiple games in development at all times and are now looking for a Product Owner who can work full time on ensuring that our games are finalized in top quality. We offer a nice office in central Stockholm, an opportunity to work with other experienced game designers as well as a co-ownership program for suitable candidates. Your tasks will include: 
- Learn about the online gaming industry and stay up to date on current trends and what is popular with players - Ensuring that the game development process is aligned with the vision for the game - Participate in game progress reviews and give feedback about the implementation process - Take ownership of the end result in terms of feeling, timing and visual/auditory finish of each game - Owning the tweak phase of the games to ensure that the final product is delivered the best possible way In order to succeed in this role, you need to be very structured and organized. We will teach you what you need to know about the iGaming industry, but going forward you will be expected to take ownership of the game development process from visual and player aspects.
