Process Operator – Electric Arc Furnace As a process operator at our new smelter, you will work with future smelter technology, the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF). You will be a key person ensuring that the smelter production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with both quality and environmental requirements. Throughout your work, you will monitor any deviations that might indicate problems in the process. Your role is technically demanding and responsible, focusing on ensuring the production flow while maintaining safety in the workplace. Responsibilities: • Operate the steel melting process in the electric arc furnace. • Control, operate, and maintain the equipment and processes in the smelting workshop. • Focus on troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems related to the melting processes. • Verify, document, and record data. • Actively contribute to creating a safe working environment by participating in the development and maintenance of process control and safety procedures. • Be a role model in fostering a culture where safety is always the top priority, and coach and guide less experienced colleagues to create a safe and efficient workplace together. • You will be entrusted with making decisions and proactively finding solutions. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Documented qualifications in workplace safety, such as OSHA, confined space work, or working at heights. • Additional certifications such as crane operator license, welding certification, or hot work certificate are an advantage. • Good knowledge of English; basic knowledge of Swedish is a plus. • EU driver's license B. Experience: • Experience working in a steel mill or another relevant metal processing industry. • Experience with smelting equipment such as EAF, AC/DC, High Power Furnace is highly advantageous. Process Operator - Continuous Casting We are looking for an experienced process operator for continuous casting to drive and maintain equipment in the casting production at our steel mill. In this role, you will play a central part in ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment. You will work with advanced technology where precision and accuracy are crucial. Responsibilities: • Monitor and control process parameters in casting equipment and adjust them as needed. • Manage and document production data, including deviations, and contribute to continuous improvement. • Take action during downtime and ensure correct handling of consumables. • Work in a shift team in a hot and dusty environment, collaborating with maintenance personnel to ensure stable operations. • Maintain a safe working environment and actively participate in the development and maintenance of safety procedures. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent in a relevant technical field. • Knowledge of hot work and workplace safety certifications such as OSHA, confined spaces, or working at heights. • Additional certifications (e.g., crane, welding, forklift) are advantageous. • EU B driver's license. Experience: • At least 3 years of experience in heavy industry, preferably in steel production or similar. • Experience in operating and monitoring processes in a high-tempo production environment with a high standard of safety. • Experience working in environments with high temperatures and dust. • Experience working with continuous casting equipment or other casting-related processes is a plus. Electrician – Mill-wide Service We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our Mill-wide Services team at Stegra Boden. This role is essential in maintaining the operational safety and reliability of overhead cranes, lifting equipment, and packaging machinery. Reporting to the Daytime Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that these critical systems function efficiently to support our production goals. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electrical faults in crane control panels and lifting equipment. Install, maintain, and perform preventive and corrective electrical repairs on systems and equipment in low and medium voltage, following industrial standards. Conduct regular inspections of machinery, electrical components, transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring to ensure safe and effective operation. Troubleshoot electrical issues using technical diagrams, blueprints, and tests. Program and configure electrical control systems. Repair and replace faulty equipment, wiring, motors, switchgear, control panels, and fixtures. Train and guide operators in basic maintenance tasks and electrical safety procedures. Assist mechanical and engineering teams in diagnosing electrical issues and performing system upgrades. Ensure safety compliance by following Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and using proper PPE. Maintain high housekeeping standards to promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Vocational electrical qualification with strong maintenance knowledge. Documented qualifications in workplace safety (e.g. ESA or OSHA). Additional certificates (e.g. Crane license, welding certificate) is a plus. Experience Significant experience from a similar role within heavy industry such as steel mills, manufacturing, or mining. Familiarity with Swedish and EU safety codes, as well as industry standards for electrical and crane operations. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with scheduled plans to minimize downtime. Use technical manuals and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to detect faults and potential issues early. Support heat tracing activities to ensure proper temperature regulation of piping systems. Collaborate with plant teams to plan and execute electrical maintenance without disrupting plant operations. Qualifications We are seeking an experienced and reliable Electrician with a solid background in electrical maintenance and industrial operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems in process-driven industries such as food production, water treatment, power generation, or chemical manufacturing. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with practical experience maintaining pumps, compressors, and automation systems. Electrician - Hot mill area We are looking for skilled electricians in the hot mill area who will be responsible for preventive and corrective electrical repairs and maintenance in low- and medium-voltage systems. In this role, you will collaborate with operators, technicians, and other production personnel to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvements. You will troubleshoot electrical problems by using tests, technical diagrams, and drawings to identify and correct faults. You will also program and configure electrical control systems, as well as inspect and repair transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Responsibilities: • Perform preventive and corrective electrical repairs and maintenance in low- and medium-voltage systems. • Collaborate with operators, technicians, and other production personnel to communicate improvements. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using tests, technical diagrams, and drawings to identify and correct faults. • Program and configure electrical control systems. • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. • Repair and replace electrical components, wiring, fixtures, and other relevant equipment. • Contribute to the optimization of maintenance programs. • Train and guide operators in maintenance tasks. • Evaluate the need for spare parts for equipment. • Ensure safe working conditions with Lock Out-Tag Out procedures during repairs. • Maintain good cleaning routines and a safe working environment with the team. Experience and Qualifications: • Significant experience in heavy industry. • Experience in the steel production industry is highly advantageous. • Secondary education in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification. • Understanding of industrial automation systems (preferably Siemens or Honeywell). • Documented qualifications in workplace safety and health (e.g., ESA / OHSA). • Knowledge of Swedish and EU safety standards. • Ability to work independently and with precision. • Ability to work shifts. • Good knowledge of English; Swedish is a plus. Currently, Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time, Site Safety Inspector to work on our Project in Boden, Sweden. The Site Safety Inspector will report to the Site Safety Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below. Job Description: The primary duties will be the oversight of various subcontractors engaged in mechanical and electrical work. The Site Project Safety Inspector will monitor, review, and observe the various construction activities to verify compliance with applicable Project specification requirements and to ensure that work is done in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local safety requirements. The Site Safety Inspector will interface with the client, Aquatech corporate personnel, and the various subcontractors. The Site Safety Inspector should have experience in leading site safety meetings, providing safety training to craft personnel, and organizing site safety committee meetings. The Site Safety Inspector will lead the investigation and determine suitable corrective actions related to safety accidents or incidents. The Site Safety Inspector will be responsible for reporting on any deviations to Project safety requirements, observing any rework, and closing out any discrepancies noted. The Site Safety Inspector will immediately identify any conditions that may warrant a "HOLD" on further work from a safety standpoint to the Site Project Manager. The SSI will provide a daily inspection report that includes general observations, any conditions that may require corrective actions, or any other information required to effectively communicate with the Project Team. The Site Safety Inspector should be familiar with: Safety Committee (SAFCOM) Lock-out and Tag-out Incident Investigation and Reporting Aerial Work Platforms (AWPs) Job Hazard Analysis Powered Industrial Trucks Confined Spaces Electrical Safety First Aid and CPR Emergency Action Plan Hand and Power Tools Fire Protection Personal Protective Equipment Hazard Communication Fall Protection Compressed Gases Welding, Cutting, & Hotwork Respiratory Protection Program Skill Requirements: Highly organized and able to keep accurate record keeping.
