Global Group Accounting Manager

As a Global Group Accounting Manager, you will work both strategic and operational, your responsibilities involve overseeing, managing, and leading the financial accounting and reporting functions for all Breas legal entities within Breas Group. We are currently expanding to new markets, and you will be highly involved in streamlining the financial department towards a more global approach. You will also play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of the group accounting team, ensuring financial accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of the organization through effective financial management. Tho Breas is a global company our Head office is still located in Sweden where it was founded over 30 years ago. The position is based in Mölnlycke with the possibility of hybrid work. Main responsibilities Team Management: • Lead and supervise a team of accounting professionals into a new Breas era. • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members. • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Financial Reporting: • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies. • Coordinate with team members to gather financial data from various entities within the group. Consolidation: • Manage the consolidation process, eliminating intercompany transactions and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. • Work closely with subsidiaries or business units to gather necessary financial information. Internal Controls: • Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. • Implement control procedures to mitigate risks and prevent fraud. Audit Coordination: • Coordinate and manage the external audit process. • Interact with auditors, provide required documentation, and address audit findings or recommendations. Communication: • Communicate financial information and insights to senior management and other stakeholders. • Collaborate with various departments to ensure a clear understanding of financial performance and goals. Training and Development: • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and share relevant information with the team. Collaboration: • Collaborate with other teams within the finance department and across the organization to achieve common goals. • Work closely with business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide support. To be successful in this job, we believe that you possess the following requirements and skills. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Professional accounting or finance certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus. • Minimum 8 years working experience in financial accounting and reporting with international environment. • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role including experience as a senior accountant, accounting manager, or a similar position. • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Swedish accounting standard is a must. • Familiar with accounting modules in ERP. Job Description Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Process Specialist Finance. You will become a member of the global Central Services Subledger Team that focuses on securing Service Delivery and optimizing processes. The Central Services team manages outsourced activities and contributes to group-wide projects and improvements from a process and system perspective. Beside the functional management of outsourced activities, the Central Services team as part of the retained organization will contribute to and manage group wide and interdisciplinary projects, changes and improvements from process and system perspective. In addition the Subledger relevant part of the internal & external control framework will be managed by the Central Services team. As Process Specialist Finance you will support to achieve the targets of Central Services / Subledger and you will act as ambassador of the Subledger mission and strategy. Your main responsibilities include: Process, maintain and support VAT checks and related processes with special focus on Germany and the Netherlands Monitoring VAT account clearing and intrastat reporting GRIR maintenance Support down payment processes Provide process improvement ideas to process experts / process specialists Support in exception handling Provide required information to auditors Participate in development projects within FBS or group-wide / interdisciplinary projects Drive automation and digitalization Qualifications University degree or similar within business administration, process engineering or other relevant field. 3-5 years of experience within Finance operations in a Shared Service organization. Experience from working within transactional finance processes Experience from working with VAT related processes and good tax knowledge Good knowledge of Finance & Procurement processes, systems and requirements Detailed knowledge of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Good command of written and spoken English Good command of written and spoken German will be beneficial as well as experience working in SAP.
