Get an idea of the role We’re looking for a System Developer to join our Credit team and work hands-on with our credit decision engine (Provenir). This is a technical role where you’ll combine development, scripting and testing with real business impact. You’ll work at the intersection of development, credit and IT, building and maintaining the logic that drives our credit decisions across Nordic markets. The role is structured and detail-oriented by nature - translating policies into system logic, configuring rules, and ensuring stable, high-quality decision flows. This position suits someone early in their career who wants to start working with production systems, APIs, automation, and real-time decisioning. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced specialists in the area and gain deep insight into how modern credit platforms operate in practice. What you will do You’ll be part of developing and maintaining our credit engine, with a mix of implementation, scripting, testing, and technical coordination. Your work will include implementing and maintaining decision rules, calculations, variables, and logic blocks in the credit engine. You’ll translate credit policy changes into structured technical logic and ensure naming conventions, configuration standards and architecture principles are followed. A key part of the role is JavaScript development within the engine. You’ll write, debug and optimise scripts, handle transformations and calculations, and troubleshoot issues related to variable resolution, data structures and flow behaviour. You’ll also contribute to testing and quality assurance. This includes preparing test payloads (JSON/XML), supporting automated tests (Java or JavaScript), comparing expected and actual responses, and helping improve how we structure regression and smoke testing. When issues arise, you’ll assist in root-cause analysis – analysing engine logs, input/output differences, API responses and bureau data. You’ll work closely with IT and Credit Managers to reproduce issues and refine logic. Beyond implementation, you’ll help structure how we work: documenting rules and flows, supporting release documentation, maintaining configuration hygiene, and contributing to frameworks for testing and implementation. What we are looking for 0–2 years of experience in system development or a relevant technical role A degree in Computer Science, Systems Science, Engineering or similar Solid understanding of JavaScript Experience with Java or test automation is a strong plus Understanding of APIs, JSON and XML structures Structured and detail-oriented, with a logical mindset Comfortable working between business and IT Curious and motivated to learn how decision engines and credit logic work Experience from banking, finance or decision systems is a plus, but not required Resurs in brief At Resurs, we make everyday finances easier through innovative and customer-focused solutions. With customers across the Nordics and more than 800 colleagues, we are committed to creating long-term value for individuals, businesses, and society. Recognized as a career company for the past six years, we put strong emphasis on both personal and professional growth. We want to make a difference by striving to be our best, acting with kindness, and building trust through clarity and collaboration. Our heart beats strong and it shows in everything we do. Although we are based in the Nordics, our team is enriched by the breadth of perspectives brought by colleagues from different countries. We foster a welcoming and supportive culture, where collaboration drives us to achieve the best outcomes for our users. Apply today! Don’t wait to send in your application. Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the last application date. We look forward to hearing from you! Important information On final candidates, we carry out a detailed background check via an external company. #LI-LN1
