Arbetsuppgifter Mittuniversitetet söker en talangfull och motiverad kandidat med en stark bakgrund inom multidimensionell bildbehandling, datorseende, samt djupinlärning, för att implementera innovativ visuell AI för nästa generations immersiva medier för fjärrnärvaro och drift (immersive media for remote presence and operation). Arbetet och utvecklingen för denna tjänst kommer att utföras i forskargruppen Realistisk 3D vid forskningscentret STC i projektet IMMERSE. Ämnet datateknik omfattar tekniker, teorier och metodologiska aspekter för datorers uppbyggnad, funktion och tillämpningar, inkluderande både hårdvara och mjukvara. Ämnet datateknik för utbildning på forskarnivå vid Mittuniversitetet utgörs av tre inriktningar – kommunikationsnätverk, dataanalys samt multidimensionell signalbehandling. Behörighet Den som ska anställas som forskningsingenjör ska vara behörig enligt de krav som beskrivs i Mittuniversitetets anställningsordning. How you’ll make an impact You use your EMC experience to ensure proper design and controlled performance during normal use, fast switching of a high voltage-high current system as well as during catastrophic events such as short circuits and the like. The role includes: Continuous improvement of guidelines and processes related to your area Modelling propagation of disturbances in R&D and projects to deepen knowledge and ensure the right level of mitigations are used. Documenting instructions and requirements from an EMC perspective to civil designers and builders in tenders, projects. Performing inspections to ensure proper installations at our sites internationally Work together with experts in areas like RF emission simulations and studies, grounding of very high currents and electro-magnetic field simulations. Being part of R&D activities to make sure we stay competitive also for the future. In this role you will have a lot of opportunities to explore various technical fields. The department is active in several multiphysics areas in close cooperation with both electrical and mechanical functions. Your background We are looking for a Master of Science degree in an electrical field, applied physics, power systems or similar. Experience from EMC area or 3D HF simulations are big merits. You have a keen interest in or understanding of mechanical aspects as well as electrical design. Experience in design of auxiliary power systems in HVDC or substation environment or other area where high currents is involved. Prior experience in any of the other technical areas is beneficial but not a demand, your personality and interest are of high importance. As a person you are a positive, problem-solving individual with the attitude that everything is possible to do in a team. You will work in a team where being able to take responsibility and willingness to learn are key features. A general interest in technology is needed to be a good fit for this position. The goal is to have cost-effective solutions while fulfilling all requirements why common sense and understanding of practical aspects is beneficial.
